So, yeah, this is Electric Duadoman's game of choice: the odds are way different than poker, and again couples cheat, but other than that, its fun.

I'm readin "The secrets of holdem poker"... ( :D ), ill post more when i learn more.

yeah i kinda played it for a week when i was away on my annual camp (reserve "army"-SoF knows what im on about) durin the summer but only cos the other guys were playin it. We weren't allowed play for real money but we ended up bending the rules by doin a low limit game. 2euro buy-in and such. twas fun.

I'm interested in gettin into it a bit more though. Yahoo games is pretty fun but its just not the same.

Well, I won last night. Started out with 6 players, and 3 of them being damn good players. I finally beat them. Walked out with my winnings and hope to do it again sat night!

www.pogo.com has a great card gaming set up. I played on there and its pretty fun. Only 30 bucks for a year, and thats pretty good if you are into online gaming. Any sort of gambling or card game you can think of on there.

Ok...

I am going to buy a 13.5 gram clay ship set of 500 numbered (5,10,25,50,and 100) The 13.5g clay chips are what vegas casino's use. A hard carrying case for the chips will be bought as part of the set. For now, I am going to buy a felt folding table top that plays 8 also. Once I get a house and a seperate gaming room, I will buy and actual poker table.

Texas hold'em is my new addiction, and only Mt.Dew comes close. Full houses and flushes seem to be my saving grace these days. Chasing the straight has put a hurtin on me, so I have just stopped. high 2 pair treat me well too... but them full houses have really been doing me favors!

played again last night... of course. I will admit.... I am addicted!!!

I am doing pretty well for myself too. I have played against quite a few of very well experienced people and they all have said I am very hard to read, and play my hands very smart.. and once I learn to read who has the higher 'kicker' aka, pair of 8's with a king kicker vs pair of 8's with a 10 high... so once I can start weighing that in right.. I will be deadly ( or so I hope )

First hand last night, I flop the straight. I was fairly happy but I wasn't fully convinced because the flop was a 3H,4D,5H. I had a 2 of clubs and a 6 of diamonds.

I start betting big. ( 5 quid is a big deal when you don't get paid much. )

My friend calls to my suprise.

4th street. 4Hs goes down. I bet 2 quid. Friend raises to 4, now I'm thinking he's on a flush draw. I call him.

The River. KH goes down. I'm totally convinced he has the flush, he's got a little smirk on his face, I bite the bullet and fold the pot.

Turns out he was bluffing. I lost about 20 quid yesterday. Poker turns average men into raving lunatics.

Yup, this game has got me again. Got started again on that Myspace poker shit couple months ago, but it ain't good enough. Playing for free really messes up your game, cause you do things you wouldn't normally do with real money. Nick, fuck house games... we gotta start going to the casino. Duads, you down?

House games are fine if people take shit seriously. None of this everyone can buy in for whatever they like, or even get chips without buying in at all nonsense that goes on at Nick's.

The Turn is what we Americans call the card between the flop and the river.
