The NZA
nice, ive heard 2/3, good songs. heads up though, DoJ: i think you accidentally reposted Tricky as Massive Attack.

The NZA
cool. been listening to the Nujabes station on Last.fm, caught this one from LittleBigPlanet, blew my mind. they picked out some good tracks for that game.
the division of joy
I'll throw up some of the lesser known stuff i'd listen to over the weekend. Probably some more trip hop. Portishead and the like.
the division of joy
Bit of the lesser known stuff i'd listen to Apathy - 1,000 grams Apathy & Celph Titled - Sound of the clap Ras Kass - The Nature of the threat Ras Kass - Soul On ice Jedi Mind Tricks (Ft Ill Bill & Sabac) - The Wolf (samples max payne, which is epic) Mr. Lif - Home of the brave
Lorelei
the only true hiphop is mobb deep fuck you backpackers
The NZA
oh, you must nota gotten the memo: mobb deep works for 50 now. its not the same as when they responded to pac, theyre his bitches now. which, given how prodigy runs his mouth, shouldnt surprise you any. DoJ - nice additions. I know some Ras Kass and some JMT, dont know Apathy or Mr Lif much, will check em out soon. thanks man.

The NZA
Mashup-hop tight. that was a good mashup - ive got a bunch collected, "Blue eyes meets Bed Stuy" with Sinatra & Biggie was fun, amongst others. RPM-wise, i like how that flowed, reminded me of this one:
Mr. Hakujin
what do you think of kid cudi? technically he's no longer alterna-hop b/c his sound has become mainstream, but i think it's more of mainstream leaning to the alternative rather than him becoming mainstream. i'm loving his new album man on the moon. remix: colab w/ mgmt: this one has an outkast vibe: Edited September 12, 2009 by Mr. Hakujin
Thelogan
Fuck yeah, can't believe I never noticed this before. Here are some of my favorite artists, but not necessarily their best songs. This one takes a bit to get going, but stick with it.
The NZA
Haku - yeah, id been meaning to check out Cudi's album, that single gets played on loop but im somehow not quite sick of it yet, heh. he could be something. Lo - ah, Delteron i know from the MC at least, Del tha Funkee Homosapien goes back. Sage and a few others are common indie hip hop picks, i can enjoy a few tracks here & there but like Aespon, Coup, Blackalicioius etc its hard for me to really get into it if im not big on their flow, personally. prolly last one to surprise me was Cannibal Ox. good entries though. Thelogan
NZA: Del's history screams respect, I love the classic shit. But I really really dug how he let his nerd flag fly in the Deltron 3030 album with Dan the Automator. Hip-hop opera concept album sounds like a bad idea, but not in the right hands. JunkerSeed
Pretty much all amazing stuff. Daedelous is great, I saw him with Busdriver, one of my favs, in Orlando a while back. Busdriver is fantastic, speed, interesting production, and a truckload of irony. Also, because they have a new album out, antipop consortium! This is off their first tho. The NZA
nice. Busdriver's flow is on some DJ Quik shit, but conscious, dont see that every day. antipop consortium track was pretty good, swear ive heard them elsewhere prior? anyway, good adds. if i can get just one other person onto jazz-hop from my first post in this thread (or my last one before this), ill be happy. MetalHeart
Wasn't sure where to put this, but it didn't feel right to just dump it in blargh. Here seemed best I nabbed this off of Stilly's favorites on Youtube: Loooooove.
the division of joy
Man, I forget making this thread... Anyway. Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobious Pip is pure win. Sampling my favorite Radiohead song ♥

The NZA
Man, I forget making this thread... ah, not to confuse: i did, i just split off the first post cause i wanted a separate thread for jazz-rap, felt it was large enough to warrant its own thing before trip-hop, underground etc came into play. ive been making quiet threads for artists ive come across, ill post some stuff here later for j cole, jay electronica, shad, etc as its not stuff you'd normally get exposed to without looking. Sigur-Ros is 2/2 as regards hip hop mash ups. Not sure whether I prefer this or the Emancipator track though. Thelogan
I really dig the 70's soul sound the backing track has.
