The NZA
all bets were starting to fall off by the end of Matrix 2, though. yeah, i was weirded out by him having real-world powers, but not long after, he had kung-fu movie superpowers of sight without vision, so, something something my hair is a bird your argument is invalid etc. really, your point seems sound until 3 when jesus-Neo dies for my digital sins or something...honestly, somewhere around the end of 2 i felt i was watching a fan-fic...and not even a great one. again, your inception theory's not bad...but now you're kinda hinging it on the idea that she got Cobb out of limbo. the most obvious ending (to me) is that this clearly didn't happen at all. Reverend Jax
I am by no means saying the 2nd and 3rd Matrix were not muddled, but that part seemed obvious to me. And I don't think Adriana got Cobb out of limbo. I think she she might have been placed in Cobb's limbo-ie subconscious by Mal with that explicit purpose, but in the end she failed. Mr. Hakujin
Saw Paprika last night (I'll post on it in its thread later) and have to say for those that liked Inception, you should definitely put it in your queue of must see films. Also seeing Inception again this weekend. Ms. H hasn't seen it yet so I'm remedying that situation.
Keth
Starting to accept that the whole movie was a dream, mostly for the fact that when him and his wife were in the dream together the subconscious figments never attacked anyone. And for being together for all those dream years that would've happened at some point.

Lycaon
'X-Men: First Class' Director Changes Movie Because Of 'Inception'by Mike Ryan · August 3, 2010 "Inception," which has been the number-one film at the box office for the past three weeks, has had an uncanny effect on moviegoers across the world, almost demanding repeat business to unlock its mysteries. But "Inception" has also had an unlikely effect on a certain uncanny superhero franchise: Marvel Comics' X-Men. According to "X-Men: First Class" director Matthew Vaughn, a recent viewing of the blockbuster Christopher Nolan film forced him to change his own movie because of similarities to "Inception's" surreal, zero-gravity, rotating-room fight scenes. Vaughn explained his changes to the L.A. Times: "I saw 'Inception,' which I loved, but my heart sank when I saw that a few of the ideas we had were up [on the screen]. So it's either leave it in and look as if you're copying or change things. We completely ripped out about 12 pages of the script and the storyboards." http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-talk-x-men-first-class-director-changes-movie-because-of-inception.html Edited August 4, 2010 by Lycaon
Mr. Hakujin
I guess this means we'll be seeing more of the Danger Room in the upcoming X-prequel. Hopefully Vaughn & co. can come up w/ an equally enthralling action sequence. . . ...but honestly, i'd still probably be over the moon if they took the same exact scene in Inception and threw in mutants fighting mutants and/or sentinels... the division of joy
Eh. I'm in a similar boat. I can see why people went nuts over it, I just didn't think it was that great.
The NZA
well, at least you approached a reason; JZA was too busy refiling his vinyl collection to elaborate. usually, when people say they did or didn't enjoy a piece of media, i kinda dig it when they give details on what worked and what didn't, for them. the division of joy
What irked me was the fact that Ellen Paige's character essentially spelled out what was going on, for me anyway. It was a good concept, it was just a little dumbed down for my liking. I'd have liked to have walked out and thought "what the fuck..." like I did with Memento.
