Reverend Jax
This year we will have Treehouse of Horror XIII! The 13th! Bet they've made an extra special one for the 13th Special. Damnit, getting droll all over the keyboard.
soldier of fortune
Ren & Stimpy were brilliant, but only lasted 5 series! Simpsons rule!! Can't wait for the new treehouse of horror ep, they're always good!!
The NZA
1) some ass-horrible shows have lasted a long time, longevity might not prove everything. 2) Ren & Stimpy was my fucking favorite back in the day, i hear it went under when John K - the creator & voice for Ren, also did Bjork's "I Miss you" video - supposedly asked for a bit more money and a full-lenght movie or 1-hour special, since Rugrats was a contemporary and getting more attention from Nickelodeon or somethin like that - and was denied, so he left. The show stayed on without him, but i recall it sucked - more disgusting but not funny at all, and the new voices sucked. That show was cool tho. 3) Has anyone else heard that Groening only has a season or so left in 'im, and the rumors of a finale Simpsons movie? Might just be that rumor shit from Aintitcool.com or somethin, i dunno.
MyLeakyBucket
I doubt the movie thing very much. There was a recent interview with Groening on Radio 4 and he mentioned he had been suggested the movie idea before and dismissed it because he didn't really see the point. My guess is he'll finish it up in another series or so with an epic episode at the end.
Spongebob
No point to have a movie. They will get a bigger cut if they do it directly on t.v. and the station will get better ratings. Then agian everyone and their morters would go see a movie. I hope they do it on t.v. dont want to pay for it.
Reverend Jax
I have not heard that greoning has only a season left in him. I have heard just the opposite, that he's recently signed on for 5 more years. He's suggested that a movie would only be done as a finale, if ever, not likely it won't happen at all. And what crap show has lasted 14 years?
The NZA
I didnt major in TV history, cant name a show of the bat...(Matlock? i dunno). Point is, longevity dont prove a whole lot. But im glad to hear Groening has more left in 'im.
soldier of fortune
Well, i think that some of the newer episodes of the simpsons have been disappointing, not like the hype they've been given, but there have been some good ones, like when Homer becomes addicted to medical marijuana!! Spongebob
Just a few crap shows that come to mind I Love Lucy, Matlock, Perry Mason, Star Trek.
Reverend Jax
Well Matlock and Perry Mason aren't my cup of tea, but they're good for their niche market. I Love Lucy is hilarious and what the fuck is wrong with star trek (the original series lasted only three season by the way, the only long lasting one was Next Generation, and that one was cool). TopDawg540
Never was one for matlock but perry mason was pretty good, I love lucy was a classic. (in addition to Co-starring a cuban on mainstream TV ) And Star Trek has been a pretty good series of shows and movies. The newest run "Enterprise" I've heard Great things about and hope to catch a marathon of so that i can catch up on episodes.
Spongebob
Do you wonder why you have no friends??? Because your a trekie fag!!
Reverend Jax
(in addition to Co-starring a cuban on mainstream TV ) They call me cuban pete.... You ever seen that episode. Dezi Arnez was so fucking cool. Cubans rule. And Enterprise is pretty good. Trekkies seem to think it's not any good, sort of how Star Wars fans think Epi1 sucked, except Star Wars fans were not alone in that belief. soldier of fortune
Enterprise is pretty good, and Joelen Blalock she's a fine bit of stuff!! But the Next Generation was the best. Voyager was good too!
TopDawg540
Next generation was a great run, cast made for some fantastic movies. Although I watched alot of Deep space 9 to watch my favorite ship (the Defiant) in action. Built with comabt in mind, manuverable as hell and some heavy pulse phaser cannons, Fore and aft Torpedo tubes for both photon and quantum torpedoes that lil puppy was very kick ass. What can i say, I'm a technology whore. Get cool Ships and ya got me hook line and sinker
The NZA
They call me cuban pete.... You ever seen that episode. Dezi Arnez was so fucking cool. I thought Jim Carey was cuban pete when he put on the Mask....
Reverend Jax
Dezi Arnez wrote Cuban Pete and preformed it on I Love Lucy as Ricky Ricardo in the 50's. I love Jim Carrey's version. Why they did that song, I don't know. I guess they just wanted something exotic and hilariously obscure. Dezi's version is great too.
