Jables
God I miss the Mcrib. We haven't had it in ten years or more. And yes Panch, I'm typing one-handed as we speak. This is my local crack though. http://www.bigchief.com.au/burgers.html The Megaburger. It's an absolute fucking tragedy I wasn't born a US citizen though. Panch
Jay, I would trade my nationality with yours for a month so that you can enjoy how AWESOME (and fuckin' crappy) it is to be an American. I love ya that much. And speaking of love: Hooter's Wings I know Chris Rock said that people don't go to Hooter's for the wings... and while that pretty much true... they're wings are still petty good. Aartemys
There's no Hooter's around here... Hooter's wings are my second favorite after Flanigan's wings...what is a girl to do to kill her hot wing cravings up in the frozen north? Lycaon
Deep fried sandwich with powdered sugar and a raspberry jam dipping sauce. I loved it. I liked the broccoli bites, too.
Mr. Hakujin
Best Monte Cristo I've had is from a local place in Mobile, AL called Spot of Tea. Yes. This is a guilty pleasure of mine. I loves me some McRib. There's probably not an ounce of real meat in that thing, but I'll be damned if it ain't tasty.

Aartemys
You would think that with the mass of people that are in love with the damn slab of faux-meat that they would keep it on the darned menu... Remember when the Flintstone's movie came out and that was THE menu item? I believe that was when I fell in love with it... I have sworn off McD's since I moved up here and I swear I almost stopped there today when I looked at the marquee...<sigh>

Iambaytor
For the record, the McRib is actually pork (and probably some chicken) you can buy the actual patties at just about any grocery store. They're shaped exactly the same and if you slather them with barbecue sauce and put them on a hoagie bun it effectively is a McRib. It's waste pork, but "waste" pretty much means what's left on the carcass after all the choice cuts are taken off. That's what spare ribs are too, they're the spare meat on the rib bones after all the other shit's been taken off. So calling it waste meat is true but implies something like what goes into hotdogs (lips and assholes) or vienna sausages (everything that is wrong in the world)

Maldron
Okay, I just had a McRib, it was unspiced pork meat in weak barbeque sauce. Not gonna ever want another one. Now, all I really want is a Double Down. :( That shit was delicious.

Mr. Hakujin
Baytor, yeah, I know you can get those "pork" patties frozen, but it's not the same, man! Okay, I just had a McRib, it was unspiced pork meat in weak barbeque sauce. Not gonna ever want another one. Now, all I really want is a Double Down. :( That shit was delicious. WEAK bbq sauce? You be trippin' cuz that sauce is the bomb! I'm craving one now. Best use the McRib Locator to find out the nearest spot!

Panch
I've had it 3 times since this last time it's been out. The first time was in Louisiana and it was fine. I had it with the BBQ sauce and onions and that's it. Second time was in Miami with no onions, but the folks at Micky D's forgot the BBQ sauce and it was bad. Third time was the charm. In Miami again and had no onions and extra BBQ... awesome! Perfect! A masterpiece!
Mr. Hakujin
I've had two since this latest resurrection of the McRib. Both times were awesome, and they'll likely be a third in the next week or so. I can't feel the denial of onions though, Panch. I'd never think to get extra bbq sauce either as they've always come swimming in that stuff, but it might be worth a try...
Panch
I just took one of those things of BBQ sauce that you normally dip your nuggets in and poured it all over the 'rib'. Exquisite!
Aartemys
I like my onion/bbq sauce ratio, but then again, I am a knife & fork kind of girl when it comes to burgers since I don't like getting my fingers all dirty... Why sans onion, Panch?
