Aartemys
You would be the one to find this... I knew there was a vampire movie called Vampiros en La Havana, but I think its animated...
Keth
haha, that looks really cool. Kinda like the Cuban companion to Shaun. Every country should one of these now.
Panch
You would be the one to find this... To be honest, I didn't find it, per se, but I did find it. Jon (CUSpacecowboy) was calling me off the hook to tell me about it. He hadn't seen anything on it yet, but had heard stuff. I went searching far and wide (YouTube) til I FINALLY found it. haha, that looks really cool. Kinda like the Cuban companion to Shaun. Every country should one of these now. Being Cuban myself and having, ahem... a father with that name... it was made just for me!
La Lindsay
You would be the one to find this... I knew there was a vampire movie called Vampiros en La Havana, but I think its animated... oh my god, eli made me watch that with him! he has all these nostalgic feelings about it because it was one of his favorite movies as a kid. it's surprisingly political. it's on netflix. Panch
Surprisingly political? Really? You're surprised? Cubans are a SUPER political bunch. I would think that EVERY movie to come out of that island would have some political twist to it. With an obvious positive spin on the Castro regime. Vampires, zombies or whatever else. La Lindsay
surprisingly political because of the censorship there. i don't remember it being pro-communism but i could be wrong because i wasn't as into the movie as eli. eli is very excited about juan of the dead. Panch
As am I! I get the feeling, though, that this movie is gonna only be found in the $5 bin at Walmart with all the other spanish movies :/
alive she cried
Ha, looks fun, can't wait for the Irish version: Séan Of The Dead....wait.
Panch
Don't you mean Sean O'the Dead?
alive she cried
Ha, good, but no the real title is: Séan O' De Ded. (Some Irish people struggle with the "th" sound (myself included, although I consciously correct it) ) Edited January 8, 2011 by alive she cried

C_U_SPACECOWBOY
To be honest, I didn't find it, per se, but I did find it. Jon (CUSpacecowboy) was calling me off the hook to tell me about it. He hadn't seen anything on it yet, but had heard stuff. I went searching far and wide (YouTube) til I FINALLY found it. And I just finally got around to seeing the teasers. My interest is piqued. alive she cried
you also say garage (guh-raj) poorly too, but that's for another thread, my friend I'll never concede that, it's fucking gar-adge (as in badge). Panch
Had to be done.
Panch
This was way better than I thought. I mean, I honestly didn't think it would be good at all. Still, I was excited because of the obvious. Should've known better, though. Cubans are some of the funniest and raunchiest people around. This was clever and well executed. I can see other people not liking it or finding flaws, but anyone that knows Cuban/Miami culture will find this hilarious.
