Iambaytor
I thought your wife had your cockles in her pocket? My god man, you're an English teacher. (Still... high five, but I do so with deep sorrow and regret)

sinestetici
Don't Hollywood deaths always come in threes? We can still play around in the 100 Bullets thread, but we have two deaths to go. Who do we choose? Two celebs that are so vile that the HAVE TO go. I'm stickin' with Kim. Amy Winehouse, Etta James, Whitney Houston. Say what you want about any of them, but they all had soul. Whitney was the first vocalist I idolized, and Etta is who aspire to be, both as a singer and songwriter. My little corner of the music world seems kinda empty without their talent flooding it. Esp Etta...she was a legend. Audio clip of Etta dissing Beyonce: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxmaTztxi4s&feature=youtube_gdata_player RIP to all three of them. sinestetici
Also, Mike Kelley died. He was my fave contemporary artist. All of you know his work...it was featured on Sonic Youths first slbum cover. So sad...he was truly brilliant. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Kelley_(artist) http://images.artnet.com/images_US/magazine/features/finch/rip-mike-kelley-1954-2012-1.png /Done with the sad now
The NZA
DEATH COMES IN FOURS see people, that maxim is crazy-dumb. if you're gonna believe that shit, might as well extend it 10 years in the future, 10 years in the past. MJ > WHITNEY > CINDY LAUPER
Jables
Aw Jax, you're so adorable when you're all self-righteous. I honestly thought I was imagining Jax's entire input on this thread until you acknowledged it. I mean Jax. Taking offence. To a mean-spirited joke. Have, have I gotten it all down okay? Jables
Did a nice negro man tell you you'd get into black heaven by defending Whitney, Michael and soon to be added, Rick James? Because I gotta tell you bro, the music's better but there's more chrome and cholesterol than you may be comfortable with for eternity Edit to add: Part of black heaven also involves you having real nice kicks, man Edited February 15, 2012 by The JZA

Mr. Hakujin
Baytor raises, a good question who was hotter in her prime: Whitney Houston or Tina Turner? For me it was Tina, and her prime was Thunderdome. What? You know you loved it.

the division of joy
Jesus Haku. She was damn near 50 in that movie. Eh, Mary Louise Parker is 47 and given the chance I'd ruin it.
Thelogan
All I'm sayin' is that she'd seen better days is all. She is aging amazingly well. She was born in '39.
Mr. Hakujin
Oh, the Ike Turner years she was hotness for sure. But somethng about the "80s comeback" look. Maybe it's b/c I was at an impressionable age and jI'm running on nostalgia. But yeah, Tina Turner two years ago over Whitney Houston two years ago--no contest. Tina aged a lot better.
