Thelogan
After me and the missus determined we were using it for about 4 hours a month,we canceled the cable in lieu of faster internets. I'll have to catch the play by play. TELL ME THE MUPPETS ARE WINNING EVERYTHING.
sinestetici
Muppets won best original song - The only thing it was nominated for I think. So... CLEAN SWEEP!!!
sinestetici
That's it...I'm going to watch "The Artist" tonight. Somehow.
Thelogan
Everyone I know that saw it said good things. Plus, you can play death metal while watching it and not miss anything.
sinestetici
But...the score!! It's so great. Probably my fave since "Amelie".
Thelogan
Yeah...but what film wouldn't be better with this instead? NAME ONE! I CHALLENGE YOU!
sinestetici
All of them <3 Except Moneyball. That movie needed something that death metal alone could have provided.
Thelogan
Forgive her, Dread Lord Azazel, she knows not what she speaks. Go see how much better it makes An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, then we'll talk.
JunkerSeed
How dare they not show performances be the song nominees on the year the Muppets get nominated? You've got to be shitting me. I liked The Artist, but I feel bad for Gary Oldman. Tinker Tailor was damned good, and he was great in it. Was gonna say that the Muppets wouldn't be better with death metal in it but then I remembered this: <param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InZNBcJTmWs?version=3&hl=en_US"> Muppet or a man might have been a better song with blast beats in it. Aartemys
I fell asleep halfway through...the Cirque De Soleil performance was nice. I DVR'd it so I will most likely watch it tonight...
Mr. Hakujin
How dare they not show performances be the song nominees on the year the Muppets get nominated? You've got to be shitting me. I liked The Artist, but I feel bad for Gary Oldman. Tinker Tailor was damned good, and he was great in it. Agreed about the lack of performances by Best Song nominees. There were only two frickn' songs and instead of a performance we get a lame Cirque de Soleil, what, interpretive dance? I thought The Artist would win for best film and director, HUgo and Scorsesse were the only real competition for it this year. However, I thought maybe Clooney would pull out a win for his performance in The Descendants, but I guess the Academy figured he already has one for best Supporting Actor and a smoking hot gf, so there's no need to give him another statue. Thelogan
Even though the movie itself didn't deserve to be nominated for anything, I still maintain that this motherfucker did more actual acting last year than Clooney and Pitt combined.
Mr. Hakujin
I dont even think RotPotA got on FX award; that went to Hugo, I think. Yeah, Serkis deserved a nom at least. i guess this CGI acting is still too ahead o,f its time for the Oscars...
sinestetici
Serkis will get some awards thrown his way in the new Lord of the Rings movies. You just know he's going to be unbelievable in that. Also, Huge is easily my second fave movie of all time. If you guys havnt seen it yet, please go out and rent it. It's magical. Plus, it's a mini lesson in cinema as well. The old film clips used throughout the movie made my heart melt...so lovely. Still havnt seen The Artist, but now I'm reminded to find it somewhere tonight.
Thelogan
Yeah, I'm sure they have credibility to think about. It would sound pretty ridiculous to the more highbrow moviegoer.
