Berserk series (2016)

Ok, so first episode is alright. Animation is CG for the most part, and not at all to my taste. Music ranges from so-so to pretty good. But at least it's new Berserk animation. Looks like they are skipping both Guardians of Desire and Lost Children though, which is a shame.

Seriously though, is this a season 2? Or starting from scratch again?

It's not really Season 2 in that it's a new production with different voice actors from the original 1997 series. It's a follow up to the Golden Age Trilogy, and it basically skips the Guardians of Desire and Lost Children arcs of the manga to get straight to the Conviction Arc. It is new story that has never been animated before, I just wish that it was done better.

I'm not letting the these horrible reviews taint Berserk for me. The manga and original anime are good enough. Even the more recent movies are pretty fine. This exists like Gwen Stacy fucking Norman Osborn exist in Spider-Man. Fuck it.

Specifically reminds me of the Ninja Weapons episode. I watched one ep of this and it looks fine when it isnt moving, but that's what the Manga is for.
