Donatella Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 The Oscars are like my SuperBowl. I know they're silly and somewhat inconsequential, but I love the spectacle, and seeing so much of Hollywood in one room at the same time. I haven't been excited for an Oscar ceremony in years but 2017 was a great year! I've seen 5 of the 9 best picture nominees and I'd be happy if ANY of them won (Lady Bird, Get Out, Three Billboards, Shape of Water or Call Me By Your Name). I'm considering checking out The Post before the ceremony only because it's Spielberg/Streep/Hanks. The rest of the noms look boring as hell. I'd love for Get Out to win everything it's nominated for because it's my #1 of 2017, but I have a feeling the Academy will go another way. I'm overjoyed to see Greta Gerwig get a director nom for Lady Bird. It is so well-deserved! I have so many dogs in this race, it should be a good night no matter what! Now, to plan my Oscar night snack menu... 1 Quote
