The NZA
‘Matrix 4’ Officially a Go With Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Lana Wachowski (EXCLUSIVE) Quote MATRIX 4 a go with Keanu, Carrie and Lana back for new installment expected to shoot at the top of 2020. Wachowski will write and direct, Reeves and Moss reprising their roles ...gonna be honest here; revolutions was both so very bad & long ago, i don't know why this would be a better idea than the reboot, but i'm interested all the same

alive she cried
They should just forget about the sequels and make a good sequel to The Matrix. Either that or soft reboot it, keeping a couple of events from the sequels but dumping all the crap.

alive she cried
Yeah, exactly that. I can't imagine how a good Matrix 4 can happen if it's beholden to the sequels.

The NZA
Quote Warner Bros. came with a huge reveal at their CinemaCon presentation: the trailer for their Village Roadshow co-production Matrix 4. And they also gave us the title too: Matrix Resurrections. It begins with Neil Patrick Harris talking to Keanu Reeves' Neo. A near future San Francisco. It appears that Neo is trapped in a humdrum world, much like his first self in the 1999 movie. He's just not getting his surroundings. "Am I crazy," asks Reeves' "We don't use that word in hear says Harris' therapist. Reeves comes in contact with Carrie Anne Moss: "Have we met?" she asks. "time to fly" says a Morpheus look-alike-handing him Neo a red pill.

The NZA
over/under on some reference to regressive dipshits with "red pill" usage that completely misses the point of the film? also not gonna pretend i knew the original film was something of a trans allegory at the time, but you gotta love how down keanu is with it oh! and apparently morpheus died in a cutscene in matrix online or somesuch and that shit's canon? Probably not the movie to watch two weeks after your wife dies. Scream-cried all the way home. Still a really good movie in my book.
The NZA
finally got to see this one - i absolutely get the negative marks on it kinda being an extra story that may not have justified its reason for existence/didn't need to happen, but for a series i adored and then hated in the final act, an enjoyable epilogue was welcome as still said, by nature it's meta as all hell & embraces that - i liked it when it'd do so thematically, talking about what the series was, its influence etc early on with the "game development", there were definitely times/scenes that were too close to the original...i get that was the point, but i'm wary of it cause some franchises wink-wink-nudge-nudge too much and im often left just wishing i was watching the source material. thankfully, this wasn't really the case here, and evil dougie houser md was enough to propel the gun-fu & will they/won't they along to a satisfying end.
