Jumbie Posted November 28, 2020 Share Posted November 28, 2020 I've always been a huge fan of this long running web comic even if I don't get all the most scienc-y jokes. It's amazing what stick figures can do to communicate tone and ideas and emotion with the right context. Today I want to start off the discussion by posting two recent strips that really tickled me. #2341: (https://xkcd.com/2341/) and #2360 (https://xkcd.com/2360/) To me these are quintessential XKCD. They use a quasi textbook graphic presentation with the star chart and the comparison table. But in the case of the stars they get surreal and veer off into fantasy nerdishness and with the data comic they poke fun of the absurd dysfunction of academia and research. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
