Benz
SiBob - You're forgetting one important detail about the worst video game ending ever...
Silent Bob
I must be. You'll have to remind me too, when spoiler tags are up.
King of Snake
I don't remember the ending either, the final blow was indeed badass, but I can't recall an ending travesty?
Silent Bob
Benny sent me a PM and told me, but I didn't think that part of the ending was that bad. Is there really anyone here who wants to play Wind Waker but hasn't by now? Can't we just discuss it outloud?
Benz
*Spoiler Warning: Anything after this post may contain spoilers. You've been warned!!!* SiBob - Spoil away!
Benz
Alright, since the warning up there should be good enough.... The ending of Wind Waker was the worst I've ever seen. Dude, to play the game all the way to the end... only to have Hyrule buried under the sea anyways... That sucks! Well, congratulations, you won! Hyrule's still screwed anyways! dante
I played and beat it. I can't really recall the ending so I guess it wasn't that memorable.
King of Snake
I liked to think that the sunken Hyrule King could've been original Link...
Benz
I hadn't even thought of that. That's pretty cool. Doesn't make the ending cool, but still a cool thought.
Silent Bob
I still don't see what's so bad about the ending. All those people were doing perfectly fine for themselves on their islands.
Benz
I know, but looking at the entire Zelda timeline, the place where everything's taken place is destroyed in the end.
Silent Bob
Yeah but it was already destroyed in the beginning...
Benz
But at the end, there was a chance to restore all of it. Remember?
Keth
WINDWAKER REMAKE As officially confirmed during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, an HD remake of GameCube classic The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is coming to Wii U this Fall. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata noted that the game was meant to help ease the wait for the next big Zelda game (which was also revealed today and has no release estimate in sight). The game will give players the option to play entirely on the GamePad, and will feature both upgraded graphics and Miiverse integration. Nintendo also plans to tune up the original experience, though precisely what changes that might entail is a mystery at this point. On the visual side of things, the game definitely retains its core visual style, but with the addition of some noticeable visual flourishes (such as enhanced lighting to lend the cel-shading a more vibrant, dynamic look). 10 years?! C_U_SPACECOWBOY
Shit my hat at those amazon prices! I'm pretty sure I've got a sealed copy of it somewhere...maybe I should throw it up on there!
The NZA
and to think bish & others were worried about the art style...looks great in motion! also Aonuma said not to expect the cut dungeons, as whatever was there, they ended up putting into twilight/skyward. only changes i saw were the ability to speed up the boat, and tingle tuner replaced by miiverse message-in-a-bottles, which seemed interesting.
