And you can say Spirited Away is innovative, and I'll agree, it's fucking fantastic and that's why it's not Anime. Like Akira isn't Anime, it is Awesome. Hey, 90% of everything is ass. Do you expect anime to be any different? There is crappy anime just like there is crappy american animation. I'll agree that as many studios have turned their eyes towards international distribution, anime has lost some of what made it what it was. Still there are still series that are great, we're just getting a whole lot more crap now. I mean for every series like Berserk, or Planetes, we get twelve Narutos. With anime, it's not just for a kid. A lot of them are aimed to adults, for adult entertainment. I don't think I worded that quite right... I was watching Astro Boy when I was 2 years old in Nicaragua. I loved the damn show so much that my gramma bought me AstroBoy shoes. When i put them on, i tried flying just like he did. When i couldnt, i took off my shoes and flung'em at gramma and cursed her out...according to my mom, that is. Heh...thats just awesome...no way in hell i can say anime sux after that.
