Unidentified Source
Does it show actual in-game footage or just movies that are CGI or other type based that aren't from the gameplay itself?

spiffytee
while searching for this video, i came across a banned xbox commercial. kinda neat. when it ends with life is short: play hard, you know you got the one.
BigChiefSlapaho
It would be one of the larger ones there. It's around 8 1/2 minutes in length, around 90 MB.

Jont
Looks good, shame Half Life 2 is going to slaughter it. Â Â Â Â
BigChiefSlapaho
That first screenshot of Half Life 2 looks like Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The second one looks like Starship Troopers, and the last one is a dead on War of the Worlds. Â But if you want to get technical... Doom3 is going to dry anal rape everybody this Christmas, if it shows up on time. Â Â Yeah, I know... it's Aliens & Night of the Living Dead rolled into one... Silent Bob
I dunno, depends on how Doom's story looks. I have more faith in the Half-Life team to make a more enjoyable game.
Unidentified Source
Doom III's multiplayer is for 4 players, not 16 player and + madness like HL II's would be or even Halo II's.
The NZA
Microsoft confirms that a pirated copy of Halo 2 for Xbox in the PAL video format and French language started circulating on the Internet this week over newsgroups and piracy sites.Purportedly leaked from a European manufacturing plant used to press game discs, the company threatened severe action against those making the game available for download.  "We consider downloading this code, or making it available for others to download, as theft," the company says in a statement.  "We are currently investigating the source of this leak with the appropriate authorities. Microsoft takes the integrity of its intellectual property extremely seriously, and we are aggressively pursuing the source of this illegal act."  Serious Concerns  As one of the most successful franchises on the Xbox, the leak of Halo 2 on the Net presents serious concerns for Microsoft, which expects a high volume of sales when the game launches on November 9.  Despite the leak, the company does not have any intention to push back the release date.  The theft mirrors the drama that happened to Half-Life 2 a year ago, with hackers stealing chunks of the PC shooter's source code and distributing it onto the Internet.  However, the theft will have less of an impact than Half-Life 2's, as the leaked Halo 2 will only be able to run on modified Xbox consoles, and is a whopping 3GB download.  Microsoft has urged anyone with information on the source of the piracy to contact the company's antipiracy division at piracy@microsoft.com
The NZA
So, its out, as of midnight, and spiffytee has a copy - i expect multiplayer madness any day now. Anyone else get a go at it yet? The NZA
Spiffytee, who has only stopped playing Halo 2 long enough for me to finish Silent Hill, wants you all to know that not only is the multiplayer good, its spectacular. Actually, ima go do some co-op, but he says on multi, you can have 4 people on your system simultaneously, and then go online with your own team! Cool huh? spiffytee
major changes:  xbox live. 1-4 player multi simultaneous play.  vehicles can be destroyed, banshee and wraith (covenant tank) now accessible.  vehicles can be mounted with the right timing (instead of getting run over)  dual weilding weapons (disables grenades)  no fall damage (leaning towards multiplayer play)  pistol sucks now - you can zoom in now at any time (binoculars i guess,) but once you fire, it zooms out. when zoomed in, motion detector disappears.  rocket launcher locks in to vehicles (must achieve lock on for 2 seconds)  shotgun somewhat ineffective at medium range and reloads slower, much less powerful than in 1.  smg, submachinegun drifts up when fired.  covenant sword = cheap.  covenant have sniping rail gun. overheats if you fire 2 shots consecutively  you can change INVERT look/settings in middle of game.  play as covenant character (has steath camo for a few secs till it charges again)  no health meter. no medikits.  no hang em high! spiffytee
oh, and it's faster. harder to aim. it's pretty much geared towards multiplayer.
