spiffytee Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 ok, that quote was from ace ventura - when nature calls. the next scene, the whole room is covered in white and he says, "not one damn fingerprint" on to signal's quote, which i swear i've heard damn well before....
Reverend Jax Posted June 28, 2003 Author Posted June 28, 2003 I don't think these quotes are any easier than the other Movie quotes thread's are. Mine was from X-Men 2, by the way. I did a search for the "Tomorrow's not just tomorrow. It's like the future, y'know?" quote, now that we're on a new quote. She's All That? She's All That is not the source of easy quotes. It was a dumb forgetable movie from like 5 years ago. A thread for easy quotes have to come from Star Wars or Terminator 2 or Forrest Gump or Braveheart or American Beauty or Fight Club or The Matrix or Pulp Fiction or Back To the Future or Spider-Man. Y'know, movies that most of of the people on this board have seen and many have seen several times.
Reverend Jax Posted June 30, 2003 Author Posted June 30, 2003 You're supposed to post a new quote. If you don't come back with a new quote, people can try for his one. Leave it to Catholics to destroy existance.
Reverend Jax Posted June 30, 2003 Author Posted June 30, 2003 That's 49 hours. I missed the part where that was my problem.
Silent Bob Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 Spider-man, twice. At my signal . . . unleash hell.
Silent Bob Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 It most certainly was. Serendipity, Salma Hayek. He hits the guy with the bandages around his head! Why? Because he's smart! He knows the guy with the bandages around his ass is going nowhere. He's goin' fuckin' nowhere! Where you goin'? Nowhere!
Reverend Jax Posted July 1, 2003 Author Posted July 1, 2003 Boondock Saints, huh, the dumb Irish cop, wants his name...Greenly! In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone? ...the Great Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered? ...raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression. Today we have a similar debate over this. Anyone know what this is? Class? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone seen this before? The Laffer Curve. Anyone know what this says? It says that at this point on the revenue curve, you will get exactly the same amount of revenue as at this point. This is very controversial. Does anyone know what Vice President Bush called this in 1980? Anyone? Something-doo economics. "Voodoo" economics.
spiffytee Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 Gone in 60 seconds my last quote was from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II. The trouble with Scotland...is that it's full of Scots
Reverend Jax Posted July 1, 2003 Author Posted July 1, 2003 King Edward of Longshanks, Braveheart Teenagers! You give em an inch, and they swim all over you!
Silent Bob Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 Heh, Sebastian, from The Little Mermaid. Yeah I'm an animation buff. She's the ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. She's fast enough for you, old man.
Reverend Jax Posted July 2, 2003 Author Posted July 2, 2003 Oh yeah, Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, directed to Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Alec Guniness, in the Cantina in Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine in the Outer Rim of a Galaxy far far away in 1977's Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. This is heavy, Doc! Weight has nothing to do with it.
spiffytee Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 Brillant! if my memory serves me correctly, that was near the end of back to the future, wheras earlier, Marty says the same thing to doc (from the past) and doc replies, "Is there a problem with gravity in the future?" P - A - R - T - Why? Cause I Gotta!!
Reverend Jax Posted July 2, 2003 Author Posted July 2, 2003 It was really more to the middle of Back To The Future, but yes, exactly. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty damn sure that is from The Mask, by Stanley Ipkiss (while wearing the mask). So...so, are you guys like boyfriend-girlfriend? Steady dates? Lovers? Come on, sporto, level with me. Do you slip her the hot beef injection?
spiffytee Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 The Mask It is! i'm pretty sure on this one too... fast times at ridgemont high, opening lines from that guy i don't like. jennifer jason leigh on the other hand.... phoebe cates: "excuse me miss" "yes?" "hold on ma'm i'll take care of this" (pause) [both singing] "You never close your eyes anymore when i kiss your lips....."
Reverend Jax Posted July 2, 2003 Author Posted July 2, 2003 Well, I don't know your quote, but you were wrong on mine. It's not fast times at ridgemont high, but you're in the right ballpark. Mine is still in the air.
Silent Bob Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 Well Spiffy's is from Top Gun, of course, but I'll wait and see if anyone gets JMT's, cause I dunno it.
Silent Bob Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 Heh, Ferris Beuller's Day Off. I want my two dollars! Two dollars! Two dollars!
Reverend Jax Posted July 2, 2003 Author Posted July 2, 2003 One of the best movies to come out fo the 80's and one of the most bizarre movies ever, Better Off Dead! This is a simple quote, but memorable, so I'll go for it: Ted, I'm fucking with you.
spiffytee Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 IC or Piggylover i'm sure know this quote.... anything with "hot beef injection" they are pretty familiar with. SB, you got that one on the dot
MyLeakyBucket Posted July 3, 2003 Posted July 3, 2003 Took me ages to work it out but I'm pretty sure its Something About Mary. Kept thinking it was from a Bill and Ted film at first but couldn't recall them being that crude. Ok... "I'm gonna get the paper...get the paper"
Silent Bob Posted July 3, 2003 Posted July 3, 2003 Ahhh, Jimmy Two-times, from Goodfellas. Who you callin' a chump, chimp?
Reverend Jax Posted July 3, 2003 Author Posted July 3, 2003 Wow, it's a classic line from a classic movie. I'm surprises it has eluded so many.
