Keth Posted July 21, 2017 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Been playing the shit out of the Zodiac Age. I love this game alot, its fantastic. But holy crap is the story boring and the characters (save Balthier and Fran) bland. Of the FF's I've played Vayne's gotta be the worst villain of the whole series. I think the gameplay is the sole reason I like it so much to be honest. Say what you will about FF8, but at least it had time travel. All that said, the remaster is awesome. I love being able to fast forward through areas and powerleveling and getting licenses quickly. More games (rpgs) need a mode like this. The NZA Posted July 21, 2017 Author Share Posted July 21, 2017 yeah, that's the main knock on XII: if the plot would've stayed about Bash (sp?) or Asche (sp?) i think it would've been great, even Balthier stole the show. but main dude & penelo should've been side characters at best.
