Well, its coming soon: October 5th, to be exact, and its said to go for about $29 somehow, tho Amazon is offering it for $19, with free shipping if you spend $6 more on anything. Propoganda or not, it was well done, and mayve done more for the "anybody but bush" campaign than the dems have, its yet to be seen. Its informative, entertaining, and Moore is backing it up. So get ready, cause in another few short weeks, the liberals will have their "passion of christ", and the conservative boycotting will begin...it'll be exciting, for a movie/documentary. The country's most high-profile doc-jock is expected to begin work on his latest pic next year. While pic is not necessarily as incendiary as the more overtly political "Fahrenheit 9/11," it's unclear what the level of enthusiasm, if any, for another Moore project is on the part of the Mouse HouseMouse House. (A Disney spokesman said Tuesday there were no talks about anything related to Moore at the Mouse House.) An eventual impasse over the doc could, in fact, add another wrinkle to the already fragile relationship between Disney CEO Michael Eisner and Harvey and Bob WeinsteinBob Weinstein as they puzzle over their future as well as the status of Miramax within the Disney fold. If Disney does pass on this project, it shouldn't be much of a problem for the Weinsteins to come up with an alternative solution. Moore's anti-Bush doc "Fahrenheit 9/11" was purchased by the Weinsteins' ad hoc Fellowship Adventure Group and released in association with Lions GateLions Gate Films and IFC Films after Disney refused to handle the pic. It has grossed some $120 million in its North American theatricaltheatrical release and will be released on DVD before the presidential election. Do ya know if they're still doing that? Fahrenheit 9/11.5? Yeah, I heard that too. Not sure if it's happening, or how big the distribution will me though. It's controversial because of all the attention it got but if you look at the thesises of all him movie, it's not too controversial. Michael Moore movies and their thesises: Roger & Me/The Big One - Large corporations have just as much of an obligation to their employees to keep them employeed as thye do to their shareholders to make them a profit. Bowling For Columbine - The high gun murder rate in the United States is a biproduct of the media and government cultivating a culture of fear and insecurity for the purpose of keeping the public complaicant and endlessly consuming. Fahrenheit 9/11 - President George W Bush has mislead the country on the war on terrorism due to his many family business relationships with both the Bin Laden family and the Saudi Royal family. The first one is radically socialist, the second is controversially Marxist, and the last one...well, it's just supported by the facts. His next movie, attacking the American Healthcare Situation, could be poised to be even less controversial. I haven't seen it obviously, and couldn't begin to speculate on what his central thesis will be, but the opinion that the state of Healthcare int eh country is abismal is widely shared, and he could go pretty radical before most people disagreed with what he'd have to say about it. If anything has made this film controversial, it's not hte film, the lack of dissent in the US media has made it seem radical, when all news organizations should be saying most of the things that we so shocking to American audiences. Well, on Friday night Hunny & I went to Blockbuster and we were browsing the movies and he was all like, "OOH! Farenheit 9/11!!! Baby, can we rent that?!?" Trust me, I was amazed...my little Republican wanted to see it! So we rented it, and wow. We saw it on Saturday and he actually wanted to rent it again tonight and try to get my parents to watch it. (Damned 2-day movie rental!!!!) Well, he's still voting for Bush, I'm still voting for Kerry... But the movie was...wow. That's all I can say. A real eye-opener. It made my eyes water when that same lady who lost her son went to DC and that other lady was yelling at her saying that it was all staged and that it wasnt Bush's fault her son was gone. La Lindsay Posted October 26, 2004 Share Posted October 26, 2004 i cried mainly at the beginning of the movie. especially during the part where all the black representatives were going before congress and saying how no senators helped them out. my sense of fairness makes me very emotional and that part made me especially sick to my stomach. Moore told Daily Variety that he and Harvey Weinstein, the Miramax boss who produced the film, hope to have "Fahrenheit 9/11 1/2" ready in two to three years. "Fifty-one percent of the American people lacked information (in this election) and we want to educate and enlighten them," Moore was quoted in Thursday's edition of Variety. "They weren't told the truth. We're communicators and it's up to us to start doing it now." A spokesman for Fellowship Adventure Group, formed by Weinstein and brother Bob to help distribute "Fahrenheit 9/11," did not immediately return a call seeking comment. "Fahrenheit 9/11," which won top honors at May's Cannes Film Festival, became the first documentary to top $100 million at the domestic box office. Moore, who won the documentary Academy Award for "Bowling for Columbine," is pushing "Fahrenheit 9/11" in the best-picture category for the upcoming Oscars. The issues for the follow-up film will remain the same, Iraq and terrorism, Moore said. "The official mourning period is over today and there is a silver lining: George W.
