Thelogan Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Anyone else been keeping up with Manhattan Projects? I love that goddamn book. I really hope it doesn't stop at Vol. 1. Quote
Panch Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Has the new issue come out? I've got issues 1 though 4. Great stuff. Einstein steals the show. Quote
Thelogan Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 A jew, a scientist, and a drunk walk into a lab. Nah, 4 is the latest I have. Quote
The NZA Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 interesting things goin on this week! who's picking up what? Quote
Thelogan Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Morbidly curious about that First X-Men book, and are they already relaunching Green Lantern again? Of course I'll get the final issue of Locke & Key. I might have to get Black Kiss II #1, I like the original. Ol' Coward Faykin hasn't done much for me since though, so I dunno. Boys #69 comes out tomorrow too. Quote
The NZA Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 is 69 the finale, or where's it ending again? and i think L&K: Grindhouse is a one-shot...i was meaning to ask where the finale was there too. im currently reading GL and i don't know what's gonig on there. if x-book is good, let us know...that Iron Fist team on Hawkeye is too good for me to pass on, personally. Quote
Panch Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 That's the GL #0 issue. All the New 52 books are getting a zero issue. And I mean, ALL. Some folks will be getting their own books afterwards. Quote
Iambaytor Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Nite-Owl gonna sue somebody So... is that John Stewart on that Green Lantern cover? Quote
Thelogan Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 if x-book is good, let us know... Absolutely nothing special. Mildly interesting, but in what's become a fairly generic way. It's just a little nothing of a book. And what the fuck happened to Neal Adams? This isn't even interesting to look at. Quote
Iambaytor Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 THAT'S Neal Adams? That's officially the most depressing thing I've heard today. Quote
Thelogan Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 It's upsetting. It's unrecognizable, a far cry from shit like this: The guy who drew The First X-Men never would have gotten famous. He would have been drawing Darkhold Redeemers or something. I need to make a "yo ass used to be beautiful" meme. Quote
Mr. Hakujin Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 That GL cover, I don't even... Let's give him the world's most powerful weapon . . . and a gun. Oh, and put him in a luchador mask. And give him a Sanskrit tattoo on his forearm. Yeah, all the kids have tattoos nowadays. Quote
the division of joy Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Finished Y: Going to go for 100 bullets. Quote
The NZA Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 thoughts on Y? also, if you put 100 down, youll have to wiki its 7 thousand characters, just a heads-up. please talk to JZA to feel better about the ending afterwards too Quote
the division of joy Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I loved Y:. Kinda trailed off a tad towards the end, but overall, it was fantastic. Quote
IceManML Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Given I'm only reading binded reprints, I don't post about what I'm reading. But I had no idea where to put this.. However, this ones for panch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjKxYlMuEVk Last thing.... 4:32. Edited August 4, 2012 by IceManML Quote
Thelogan Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 (edited) From: Hondo's Gaming Journal I followed some breadcrumb trail from something or another and ended up on The Defenders wiki page, then I ended up reading What if? Age of Apocalypse. It has Captain America wielding Mjolnir, Brother Voodoo, Captain Britain wearing a souped up version of Mach 1 Iron Man armor, Wolerine with bone claws, Thing with a prostetchic arm, Nate Summers and Sauron. I like alternate dimension shit, and it's like an alternate alternate reality. Inception. It's also very 90's and the narrative jumps sporadically, as these one-shots tend to do. It was a fun couple of minutes. It also had this Wolverine vs. Namor fight, which was pretty sweet. Edited August 7, 2012 by Thelogan Quote
