Resident Evil dont belong on that list, i think, and if you want Final Fantasy, fuckoff. If i forgot others, just lemme know...me, i hear Double Dragon was ass-awful, but never saw it. Guessing its frikkin' awful. Is the Tomb Raider adaption that bad? I'm not in any rush to see it but surely FF was not much better (sorry IC). I put Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat on par for crapness so need a bit of time to think. What character did Kylie Minogue and Jean-CLaude Van Damme play in Street Fighter? Can't remember. And by the way, Nick, Spy Hunter is the one that's being directed by John Woo. It stars The Rock and is supposed to be released next year. The Tomb Raiders weren't that bad. Yes, the plots were absolutely dreadful, but trust me - Angelina's portrayal of Lara Croft makes up for it. And Wing Commander had Freddie Prinze Jr in it, man, so yes it was frickin' awful. Squenix made the best CGI production money could buy, the most advanced technology and the mos banakable stars, but the damned dirty fans spit in their faces by not watching the movie in theatres. If you get any kind of negative feeling from that movie, it's only because of the ungrateful bastard-ass fans that made it a total flop (financially) I voted House of the Dead, even thought there was some nudity, the plot was better adapted to a cheap cinemax soft-porn than to an actual film. As computer animation it was absolutely fantastic, with some of the most realistic character models and some of the best character animation I've ever seen - especially on James Woods' and Donald Sutherland's characters. I dont know what everyone else expected (2 hours of chocobos and white mages?) but the plot was interesting, movie was darker than expected, but i enjoyed it, and by no means would it belong on this list, i figure. Then again, I wasnt serious bout Resident Evil being up there, cause i thought that one was a lot more fun than the others. But hey, to each their own. I remember TD made me see Wing Commander. All i remember was they did the Matrix bullet-time camera thing before matrix, this one time, but after the GAP commercial. Otherwise, shit blew up, i guess. As one of the biggest SF fans out there, the movie almost made me cry. I can't even imagine how bad it must have been to the untrained eye. MK1 and 2 at least had fun fight scenes if nothing else. SF had.... NOTHING. Raul Julia died after making that film. What horrors could it have done to him are beyond this mortal mind. To add to the pain, SF had money behind it. Many of the other films were made to be B movies. Not SF, they had high hopes for that one. I think they were just plain high while making it. FF was a great film. At its critical worst, its a boom-run movie. Something goes boom and they run away from it. Even then, it's still pretty good on those terms. King of Snake Posted October 23, 2004 Share Posted October 23, 2004 The mario bros movie was so terrible, that actors like Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper had to lower themselves to such a level (Leguizamo can be good but seems to go for regular dips), and they even tied in a super scope placement! The rest on the vote list are all bad but I can' vote for them because: Double Dragon, House of the Dead: haven't seen (perhaps thankfully) Street Fighter: Can't speak ill of the dead, no matter how bad. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation: Saw half of, but the first was ok, Christopher Lambert had fun anyways... Resident Evil: Milla Jovavitch is hotter than freshly burnt toast Tomb Raider: Angelina's hotter The Wizard: Is a connection to my youth, at one time I loved that movie, just like Transformers the Movie, though I'll admit it's probably pure pants if I watched it now, I can't vote for it Wing Commander: Tchecky Karyo's in it as is Jurgen Prochnow, two fantastic actor's easily cancel out a Prinze Jr, and Saffron Burrows is hot. Samantha Mathis is also hot but Mario Bros is too shit to redeem. And Final Fantasy was good, not great, but entertaining and stunning to look at, doesn't deserve to be anywhere near this list. My brother always gets me joke DVDs for christmas, once it was the toxic avenger, then plan 9, and last year it was attack of the killer tomatoes and return of the killer tomatoes. Michelle Rodriguez on the other hand...she was bad... I couldn't vote for Street Fighter solely because the part towards the beginning when Van Damme busts through the wall in a mobile missile launcher, pops the hatch and says "you're all under arrest" I laughed. Then I fell asleep. Still, it's getting plenty of votes already. Super Mario Bros was crap, but damn it was some creative crap. Mario Bros is fucked up as it is, what with superhero plumbers battling an army of mushrooms and turtles. But with the movie? Goombahs are suddenly dinosaurs with shrunken heads.
