on marty robbins (im a big fan) i like his takes on Steets of Laredo and Ghost Riders in the Sky better than Cash's, and that's saying a lot.

Yeah, Marty's awesome, very distinctive voice. Not sure whose version of Ghost Riders I prefer, depends on my mood more than anything. And on that song, I guess technically I could have listed both his AND Cash's(and for that matter, The Outlaw's, whose version I like as well) here as well since neither of them was the original artist either...

Oh shit! That Iron Horse band did a whole cover album called "Pickin' on Modest Mouse". Thanks for sharing this! I'mma find this tonight.

Yes, I have it and it is excellent. There's also a bluegrass cover album of Green Day songs called "Pickin' On Green Day" by various artists that I love even more, but I couldn't find any clips on youtube.

Wow DOJ- the Coldplay Life in technicolour cover was beautiful!

Im a sucker for Coldplay.

I tend to love acoustic covers and my faves tend to be in that vein.

Iron and Wine - Such great heights (Cover of the Postal Service)--My all time favourite cover.

John Mayer does some great covers - Kid A, Free Falling, Message in a bottle...

Too hungover to Youtube them.
