Panch
"Tactful" just means he's being condescending.
The NZA
that sounds like projecting a certain agenda.
Iambaytor
I am because it is. And Marvel. And every other company that imitates them. It's about the contemporary mainstream industry. Always has been, and that's always what he's asked about. Very few comic book fans give half a shit about any other comics. I've spoken to people who know him about this, and he has friends in the industry who do work he enjoys. But not cape work. I guess, but I think that's still selling a lot of very talented people short. And it's still a hugely dismissive bullshit statement that nobody else would or could get away with. Maybe he's just read the work of people imitating shit he did, which is certainly the problem with the industry because anybody who tries to catch that 80s Alan Moore lightning in a bottle (and this remains true of Alan Moore himself as well) usually fails and makes more of the crap being churned out now. Lorelei
Just going through his stuff, really enjoying Saga of the Swamp Thing v1, didn't expect it to be so DEEP
Thrizzle
Not sure if trolling. Regardless, I had the same reaction. He takes a pretty silly character and somehow makes a very fulfilling book out of him. Glad you're digging it.
Lorelei
Not trolling, it's deep, searching for his humanity when he doesn't have any. v1 is also really trippy. I'm probably just going to read through his library now, only read Killing Joke before
