Ganny McVagflaps
Kevin Smith goes to Degrassi High to make a J&SB flick with Alanis Morrisette. Bought it in Best Buy for the fuck of it. 400 Blows was my attempt to impress the hot chick with the glasses who always gives me them eyes in Barnes and Noble with my love of French New Wave cinema. It was pretty good alright. François Truffaut is no Lloyd Kauffman however.

Yeah I saw that episode. Yeah, make fun of me, I actually like watching The Degrassi. Kevin Smith basically goes to Degrassi High to cast students in his flick, if I remember that episode correctly... I jst remember two of the girls being involved after about two years of being Hetero.

Iambaytor
It's definately entertaining, though it was kind of annoying because he kept telling the exact locations of all the places they shot (like addresses and whatnot, but he may have been doing that intentionally. Emo Phillips, Michael Richards, and Victoria Jackson pop in for a few minutes on the commentary to add their 2 cents.

Iambaytor
Never seen: Escape from (anything) The Thing Tremors Malevolence Dead-Alive Master of Hoorror series, few others. props on Kelly's Heroes. Escape From L.A. classic movie about a international criminial Snake Plisskin (Kurt Russel) going into the world's largest prison (Manhattan Island) to retrieve the President of the United States (played by the guy who played Dr. Loomis in the Halloween movies) other people of note are Ernest Borgnine as a molotov throwing cab driver and Isaac Hayes as the Duke of New York. (Don't watch Escape From L.A. it is more like a rehash of the origional than an actual sequel) The Thing. One of the greatest horror movies of all time and in my mind the best remake ever made. It's a great thriller with excellent special effects and great acting from all actors (most notably Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, and Keith Davids) you MUST watch it (and play the game as Ross said) Tremors is a classic 80s style horror movie about a small Nevada town under attack by giant subterranean worms. If a cast of Fred Ward and Kevin Bacon don't do it for you, do it to see Michael Gross (of Family Ties) and wife Reba McIntyre as kickass survivalist nuts (the basement scene is worth the price of admission) Michael Gross and Fred Ward also return in the sequel which is equally good if not better, parts 3 and 4 are for fans of the series only. Malevolence, I don't have much to say about it other than it's more or less Friday the 13th with brains. Dead-Alive is the goriest movie of all time, Peter Jackson did something that was very taboo at the time, it's a hilarious movie but all the gags center around gore and violence. It's like Evil Dead 2 only much much much bloodier. You can pick up the 94 minute version (the best version of the film) for about 7 bucks in most places that carry it. And Masters of Horror, it was a Showtime series of 1 hour long movies of what are considered to be some of the greatest horror directors (Though some are debateable Mick Garris is only there because he's the producer. They they get props from me for scoring Tobe Hooper, Don Coscarelli, Takishi Miike, and John Landis. Dario Argenteno and Joe Dante were also surprising as well) Season 1 had its ups and downs, there were a few episodes I thought were really bad (Mick Garris' Chocolate and Joe Dantes Homecoming) but it had some great moments, the best episode I've seen was Incident on and Off a Mountain Road by Don Coscarelli. Season 2 however is dogshit, don't bother with it.

See Assault on Precinct 13, They Live, The Thing, Halloween, and Escape From New York, he really is a brilliant director (was at least) I get people to like a lot of stuff, I'm the reason Don Baineone's such a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas nut, I fucking introduced him to it.
