Jables
So two years later I caught the series. It was good, but not as good as Jayne solo. I could watch The adventures of Jayne all day long, bug-eyed and crosslegged.

Thelogan
Â An entire album of Firefly themed rap for your nerding pleasure. Â I really need to watch this one of these days. I fear me to Firefly is like JZA to Watchmen: hearing all of you people gush about it forever is going to make anything short of a chocolate covered orgasm seem like shit. Mr. Hakujin
I had an ex who was really into it and got me the show on DVD. I enjoyed it and bought Serenity and likes that as well, but the gushing adoration they both receive is a bit perplexing to me. It's good stuff, but damn, ain't like it's no ST:TNG or frakkin' BSG. Iambaytor
Man, if you're gonna come into this thread swinging you can at least us World War 2 in SpaceStar Trek: Deep Space Nine as the pedigree, not The Next Generation. Shame.
Mr. Hakujin
DS9 > TNG? Next thing you'll be touting Hitman > Preacher...oh, wait. Never mind. Forgot who I was addressing there for a moment.
Thelogan
I enjoyed the hell out of DS9 at first, then it just got mired in continuity. A nice, self contained episode just didn't exist. It was pretty awful towards the end.
The NZA
i saw a handful of TNG, none of the others even look like they held a candle to Firefly.
Mr. Hakujin
Understandably, most Hondonians do recognize the superiority of TNG over the other Trek franchises. Â As for TNG >Firefly it really isn't even a contest, is it? I admit Firefly might've one day achieved TNG's greatness had it the chance to stay on air, but that day never came. The NZA
Â 7 seasons where nothing interesting happened but picard becoming a borg for a bit? please believe, it's a contest.

Thelogan
The best of TNG is like an ultra PC sci-fi Twilight Zone to me. Little self contained episodes where something weird or cool happens. I like that in a show (besides being ultra PC, that's just a by product of the times and it kind of tarnishes my memories when I go back and watch them). Â Sorry NZA, that was prob'ly confusing. One sec. Darmok, and Jalad, at Tanagra. Temba, his arms wide. Sartoth, his eyes closed, he cannot see the arrow. Darmok and Jalad, on the ocean. Iambaytor
Understandably, most Hondonians do recognize the superiority of TNG over the other Trek franchises. Â You're right: better characters, a more cohesive story, and the best character from The Next Generation is for the birds. Sisko 'fo lyfe! The NZA
happened last july, but Firefly had a reunion  The most eagerly awaited reunion in the whole ‘verse is happening today, and EW.com has the first photos! Here’s the cast of Firefly (most of them, anyway) who have come together at Comic-Con 2012. This was taken at the Science Channel’s roundtable before the team’s panel. We’ll shortly have full coverage of the panel, which is also being filmed for Science’s one-hour reunion TV special (debuting Nov. 11). Here’s Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, showrunner Tim Minear, and writer Jose Molina (Creator Joss Whedon will be joining the team on the panel). And if that table looks familiar, it should — Firefly‘s set designer remade it for this occasion …         missing Kaylee & Torres, right? so should make up for that
alive she cried
So, finally got round to watching this. I'll just echo what ye've all said for years. Great show, cut down way too early, fuck Fox. I've yet to see Serenity, so at least there's that to look forward to. Â P.s. TNG > DS9
