huntercrow
What about Ernie Reyes Jr. He kicked ass in TMNT :Secret of the Ooze and in Surf Ninjas. J/k although he is a rather accomlished martial artist, I still think Shonuff Shogun would win.
Acalis
I wonder what Jean Claude Van Damme has been up to? Haven't heard any recent work from him in a long time...
Signal08
heard he had a recent drug addiction and did some rehab time... which is weird, b/c you would think that his martial arts discipline would keep him from that. and he just did a made for tv movie I think
Acalis
Made for TV movies... that's when you know your career has hit an all-time low...
Lycaon
Bruce Lee, then Jet Li, then Jackie Chan.
Acalis
You think if Bruce Lee were still alive, he'd be still making Martial Arts movies to this day, or you think he probably would've called it quits by now?
Signal08
He'd be Mr. Miagi squared....
Acalis
He'd be Mr. Miagi squared.... Speaking of Mr. Miyagi, Pat Morita (the actor who played him) sadly died a few days ago at the age of 73. Read all about it here.
Darth Fluffakins
I'm confused why there isn't any mention of Gordon Liu, he's the original master killer. He totally owns so many of those guys on the list. I would place him second under Bruce Lee. If someone wishes to watch an awesome kung fu flick staring Gordon check "shaolin master killer", my all time favorite, this top ten is very depressing, the fact that Van Dammit is even there is an insult to the universe! wuv.-d.fluff
The NZA
You know, ive heard a lot about him, but i didnt get to see many of the classic shaolin kung-fu flicks back inna day...RZA recommended a few, ill try to find that one sometime tho. dont feel too bad, Segal's on this instead of Sonny Chiba. Acalis
Also Toshiro Mifune. Back in the day he was in almost every kind of Samurai-themed motion picture, including the popular Shogun miniseries.
JunkerSeed
Yeah, damn, Van damme and segal in stead of guys like Liu, Chiba, Donnie Yen? I put mifune in a different category myself and Chow's more of a gun guy. Anyways, that's the requisite criticism of the poll. As far as these guys go... I'm big on Jet Li myself, he's got better directors behind his flicks. As far as a fight goes, bruce lee could prolly whoop him cause even tho jet is an award winning martial artist in his own right, Bruce has more experience in real (i want to kill you) fights. But anyways, personal preference is what it is, so I give it to Jet.
Acalis
I think a movie with the likes of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Chow Yun Fat, would be kickass.
Signal08
I don't think Chow Yun Fat is really top of the list though. He has that crouching tiger / bulletproof monk stuff in his jacket, but I dont think he's a top contender vs Li or Lee or the like... but it would be entertaining thats for sure. Chuck Norris
The answer here is simple: I win I've beaten the crap out of every person mentioned here, some of them Twice (Segal a half dozen times at least).
Signal08
Well Seagal was not focused... he was busy marketing his herbal suppliments chain and looked the other way as your 66 year old ass decided to kick him in the nutts. Dunno how the smell of icy hott and bengay all over you didnt alert him to your presence... again.. herbal shit... Seagal is much dirtier than Norris is too... dirtyness will always wipe out clean 'oo i can do a jump kick' yea.. well... he can rip your throat off! under seige style

Darth Fluffakins
I love Mifunes' work with Kurisawa, but yeah I don't think he really qualifies as a Kung-Fu star, you know what I mean?
The NZA
yeah, i just noticed acalis' comment...fuck, i love Mifune, and kurosawa made great use of him in many different roles, but nah i dont think he's considered martial art. im gonna add Sonny Chiba to this list, lemme know who else oughta be on it.
