Keth Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Watching Unfriended: Dark Web (thanks to whkever added it to vudu). It is surprisingly tense. Premise is silly, but once it starts going shit really becomes stressful and hard to watch in certain areas. A pleasant surprise. Quote
Keth Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Guys, this was the best zombie movie I've seen in years. It doesn't waste anytime getting into it, and is legitimately fucking scary. These were some of, if not the most terrifying zombies I've ever seen. Just a great movie all the way through. 1 1 1 Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Looks like a 28 Days Later sequel/remake and will watch. Quote
Keth Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Its got a few 28 Days references in there for sure. Quote
Keth Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 I'm in the middle of this and it is pretty, pretty, pretty, creepy. Antrum is supposedly a lost film from the 70s and has one of those "if you watch it you die" curses. It's pretty gimmicky, but once it starts moving you get past that pretty quick. It's messing with me a little bit. It's got some genuinely disturbing moments, and some rewatch value for hidden symbols and background stuff going on. I have 30 minutes left, but wanted to post some thoughts before I forget. Will come back once it's over. 1 Quote

Keth Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Seriously though, I liked that movie a lot. It's got some Blair Witch and Evil Dead vibes. It creeped under my skin a bit and is staying with me. Its on Prime for anyone with it. It was a fun little surprise. 1 Quote
Keth Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I watched Threads last night. It fucked me up. Quote
Stilly Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I'll take "Things Not To Watch During The End Of The World" for 400, Alex Axels 1 Quote
Keth Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Just watched the Dead Don't Die. Pretty disappointing. The trailer was incredibly misleading, but it was a Jim Jarmusch movie and I don't know what I expected. It has it's moments, but they are few and far between. Quote
Keth Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 This one is great! Between this, Hereditary and Antrum, I am really like this trend of using obscure demon lore and working them into the story in creepy effective ways. Plus it gives me something to do some light research on later. This one is on Shudder also, which is only getting a better and better selection of movies as it grows. I hope it sticks around. 1 Quote
Keth Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Hellhouse LLC is a surprisingly solid and creepy found footage movie. It's come across my recommendations numerous times, and I finally caved and watched it. Lots of great, spooky ghosty stuff and a nice lack of jumpscares. Definitely worth watching for a fun haunted house movie. Quote
The NZA Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 damn, adding that to the pile then - along with relic and beach house Quote
The NZA Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 james wan at it again - anyone seen this one yet? 1 1 Quote
Jables Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 (edited) I'm super curious. Wan was a guaranteed good time for me up until Malignant. Last year was so damned good for horror! My second favorite whitest kid Zach Cregger did Barbarian, and I finally got to Jordan Peele's Nope on the plane over to the States. Edited January 17, 2023 by Jables 1 Quote
Keth Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 This looks a special kind of terrifying. 1 Quote

Not seen it but I have many excitements to go and see it. It looks like a more terrifying Ex-Machina type film. Also, not entirely a horror film, but it kinda fits, "The Menu" got a watch last night and I very much enjoyed it. Would suggest. Quote
