Little Nemo McFly Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 HOLY SHIT! LOL - I don't feel like such a freak anymore. Those are massive collections. My...GOD! Personally, I'm not so much into manga - but that collection and set up is most impressive. Baytor, if I passed by your collection - I'd jump in and live inside those books like I was Winnie the Pooh. Really good stuff in there! Quote
Iambaytor Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 So I had heard the Walt Simonson Thor omnibus was poorly bound, is this true? Quote
C_U_SPACECOWBOY Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Newt, I notice Daredevil vol. 1 is missing. Intentional omission of Smith's run? Edited February 29, 2016 by C_U_SPACECOWBOY Quote
Newtype Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 So I had heard the Walt Simonson Thor omnibus was poorly bound, is this true? No. Newt, I notice Daredevil vol. 1 is missing. Intentional omission of Smith's run? Yes. I didn't really care for it. Quote
The NZA Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 shelves lookin lovely as ever, newt Newt, I notice Daredevil vol. 1 is missing. Intentional omission of Smith's run? yeah, Guardian Devil was fun/important at the time but the rest of the pre-bendis stuff is...i like Mack's run that introduces Echo, but is way better later on when he revisits her. there's one DD court run in particular that i think is so bad, the trades left it off, haha also i totally kept my kevin smith director's commentary disc from when i had that edition in the day! paper stock was shit so i sold it, but i had to keep that disc, it's taped up in my ominbus now haha Quote
Da Cap'n 2099 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I love Guardian Devil. It was what single-handedly brought Daredevil "back." We wouldn't have Bendis' and Brubaker's runs if it wasn't for Smith's. Hell, the Netflix show wouldn't exist! We also wouldn't have Affleckdevil. Quote
The NZA Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 2nd shot is the top row, which is all Lone Wolf/Koike stuff - a great number of those softcovers were newtype donations (thanks again, man) and a buncha hardcovers from when panch worked at anime hurricane years ago, haha bonus shot of the hip hop variant cover collection i (hastily) tossed together Quote
Keth Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 We should have a Hondo's Cribz thread where we give video tours of our places while putting ourselves on repeat whenever we say "fridge", and capping that off with a slow motion edit of us saying "Frrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddddddddddddgge" ...erm Sweet collection! Quote
Newtype Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 a Hondo's Cribz thread We have one somewhere. Quote
