The NZA Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Dont know if others fall into this (Third Watch, etc) but lemme know and ill add em. Arch & a few others seem obsessed with House (LL got me to watch an episode, i liked it), my mom watches ER religously, and ive yet to see Grey's or Scrubs, despite respective recommendations from LL and KOS...mebbe cause i work in a hospital, im just not as hyped? anyway, here's your thread to dsicuss these shows without me making like 4 seperate threads to walllow about.
Jont Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Scrubs has to be one of the funniest shows coming out of America at the moment even if it can be a bit twitchy and annoying, it reminds me a lot of Ally McBeal (which I liked, I AM STILL A MAN!). ER is still going isn't it? I think I caught it a while back and they had a going away episode for Noah Wyle, who far as I know was the last of the original cast. When it was in it's peak it had some classic moments, anyone remember when they had a faceless attempted suicide on the table and when they paged Dr Benton's intern the patient's beeper went off.
Ganny McVagflaps Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I useta watch "House" every week but I've been slipping as of late. Good show alright.
archangel Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 House, of course. Don't miss next weeks, 2track. Season Finalle and it's gonna be a good one. House gets shot.
La Lindsay Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 grey's anatomy, then house. although izzy jumped the shark on the last few episodes.
archangel Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 House Season Finally: Wow. That's all i can say. Wow. Dear Fox, You fuckers! How dare you leave such a damn cliffhanger at the END of a season?! You know what it is to have to wait THREE FUCKING MONTHS to see what happens next? Fuck you. Arch PS: Kick Ass Episode. Keep up the good work.
MusicManiac Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 Yeah, I DVR'd it so I can watch it again, so much going on there. Hugh Laurie's character getting shot? I mean yeah we know "House" won't die, he's the main character, but what about the damages he sustained? This show rocks. ... but we do have to wait 3 months... bummer.
Reverend Jax Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 A cliffhanger at the end of a season? Why, Fox is really thinking outside of the box on this one. It's ballsy alright, but there has to be a first time for everything, right?
Silent Bob Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Dear Fox, You fuckers! How dare you leave such a damn cliffhanger at the END of a season?! You know what it is to have to wait THREE FUCKING MONTHS to see what happens next? Fuck you. Arch PS: Kick Ass Episode. Keep up the good work. Dear Arch, Apparently you've never watched our Emmy award-winning show 24, or that crappy Survivor/XFiles rip-off being shown by our esteemed competitor, the Ass Broadcasting Company. Seasons end in cliffhangers, that's just how it fucking works. Besides, we don't listen to viewer feedback anyway, we make our own goddamn decisions. Just ask Joss Whedon. If you would like cliffhanger-less television, believe it or not 7th Heaven got renewed for another season. Otherwise, fuck you too. And thanks for watching! We appreciate the support! -Fox As for medical shows, ER past its prime years ago and I never can get into Grey's Anatomy because everytime I watch it I wish they'd stop talking about their relationships and save some damn lives already. Scrubs is fun though :-P
Jont Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 that crappy Survivor/XFiles rip-off being shown by our esteemed competitor, the Ass Broadcasting Company. Seasons end in cliffhangers, that's just how it fucking works. That remindes me, last in the current series tonight (it's not thread drift, they've got a doctor in it) Better get that downloading, I'll be mightily disappointed if they don't end it on a bastard of a cliffhanger. Still, House is one thing, three month time and you'll know what happens next. Twin Peaks and Carnivale ended on massive cliffhangers and they'll never be renewed (again not thread drift, they've got doctors in em somewhere)
Silent Bob Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Good point. HBO is still using clips from Carnivale in its ads. Personally that pisses me off, if they wanted to use footage of it they should have renewed it, the schmucks. Now not another word about that Lost finale, I'm still a season behind.
Jont Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I was wrong about Lost, all they showed tonight was a recap episode, no point in downloading that, but the last couple have all ended on decent cliff hangers, but we can't talk about those either. I can't believe you're in the US and still a season behind, so in the episodes you're watching they're still on that island right?
Silent Bob Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I'm voluntarily behind. I missed too many of the early Season 2 episodes so I'm making myself wait for the dvds when I can catch up
archangel Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Dear Fox, I've only managed to catch the first few episodes of season 1 of 24, and that's pretty awesome, too. But I'm not much of a TV watcher. I have time for one show, and that's House. And like hell you don't listen to viewer feedback. It's called 'ratings'. 7th Heaven is still on? Seriously? You can't be. Who made THAT boneheaded decision? Either way....what you did with the last episode of House was dirty. Awesome as hell, but dirty. You're still fuckers. Hugs and kisses, Arch
MusicManiac Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 ________________________ Dearest Arch, We know we are, but we hired a new intern named Bob, to sort mail. He must have took upon himself after a drinking binge to correspond back. Please accept our apologies and this autographed picture of Jennifer Morrison in her bikini. Sincerely, FOX public relations
the division of joy Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 while house is "the shit"... scrubs always manages to make me laugh, but also still remains to be to the point of a medical drama... it gets my vote... ps sarah chalke is hot...
archangel Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Dear Fox, Thanks for the pic. Hugs and kisses, Arch
Jont Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 I'm voluntarily behind. I missed too many of the early Season 2 episodes so I'm making myself wait for the dvds when I can catch up An update on everyone's favourite medical drama, Lost, it seems I was wrong, and they did air the last in the series this week. Hopefully I'll have them downloaded in the morning. Woot!
archangel Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 So yesterday's episode of House was awesome. I'm still getting used to the new...change...but I think the transition, and inner struggles, really do alot for the character. However, catching sneak previews for next week, I'm VERY worried. If they do what I think they're going to do, this could either be really interesting or completely ruin the show. God, I hope it isn't the latter.
MusicManiac Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 It won't be ruined. I totally agree about the character development. Hugh Laurie's performance of Greg House is superb. I really felt a connection with the accomplishment and strides he was taking to "better" his person, and change his life post last season's accident. It is an awakining for him and it scares him to do so. I won't spoil anything here for those who have it Tivo'd and didn't see it yet, but, it's Cameron, Wilson and Cuddy that have pigeonholed him to second guess himself and revert back to the Vicodin thing again. We will see how this plays out, but know this, his character will I think change alot this Season, they can always go back to the grumpy guy we loved, but this new look for House has everyone uneasy. ... I love this show.
archangel Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 No, I love the character development part: that's awesome. It's next week's CASE that can go either very good or ruin the show entirely.
MusicManiac Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Oh I get what you mean, Look man, it could be a hallucination.... ... and if it's not, Call Fox Mulder. Now that was a GREAT SHOW!
archangel Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Dear God I hope it is...cos they could easily ruin the show with it.
