Newtype Posted October 9, 2006 Author Posted October 9, 2006 Unless we do this on a weekend I'm not going to be able to show up. I'm at work by 11am out around 9pm. By the time I get home, shower, change and take off it would be between 10:30-11pm when I get there.
The NZA Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 ...friday night good for you? i work, but not till 11pm. i could uh, just leave the party early or some shit.
Senshik Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 The man just said he'd be around 11pm... you're gonna be gone by then... how about we just do it on Thrusday night? Until midnight? Start the game by 8-9ish?
Reverend Jax Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 If we do that, can we borrow Alex's guitar before hand? PS MusicManiac: Game comes out in November, but the playable Demo comes with the Nov issue of OPM, which is supposedly on shelves this week.
The NZA Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Chief might be down friday night, might not. How we gonna get newt's guitar from him, you drivin up there? and yeah, come to think of it, we start late enough fri night and im outta here anyway, got work at 11.
Reverend Jax Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Shit well, I got the new issue of OPM this afternoon, so finding the demo before a meetup is no longer an issue (haha, issue, get it....eh). So Nick, what's your call. Sounded to me from Newtype that he works M-F, so Friday night would be no better than Wed or Thurs. It's your house, so let me know.

Jables Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Man, Wolfmother, Fooeys(back when they were good), Sabbath & Warrant? I don't think I'll be able to wait for 360 release!
bishopcruz Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Dick Dale - Misirlou Bad motherfucking ass
APANCHALYPSE FOREVER Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 So I found out last night that I'm not as good as thought! Damn, you Jax and your lightning fingers!
Jables Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 So apparently a 360 release is a ways aways so I'll prolly relent & get it for PS2. Although they've sold it off to 3rd party(o don't know the correct term) so it CAN be on the 360 Sony's gonna hold off as long as they can so they can milk suckers like me 'cause they're scumfucks & are sated by my tears of defeat.
Reverend Jax Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Keep practicing Pancho. I beat Shout At The Devil from the GH2 demo on Expert with four stars, a 84 note streak and 89% notes hit, with a score of 10500ish. I beat You Really Got Me on expert, but it was a sloppy win. Still have yet to bet Strutter or YYZ, it just that YYZ has that part at the 75% mark with the three note chord than makes you hit the chord several times and I fail out there.
BestkeptSecret Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Images from our Guitar Hero Night @ Jax's place!! Actually, images from the Parking Lot @ Jax's place(where we almost died crossing the street...THANKS JAX...). I forgot my camera so these were taken with my phone...I guess it's better that we don't have any evidence of Panch getting his ass handed to him on a plastic guitar...
APANCHALYPSE FOREVER Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Those pics don't prove shit about Jax being better than me! Keep practicing Jax! One day you'll beat the champ!
Jables Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Hey, you can't begrudge a guy like Jax beating your arse using his fingers. Why if it weren't for those "lightning fingers" the guy wouldn't have a sex life.
Reverend Jax Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Fine burn Skeeter. Hey, I hear your the guy to beat on Xbox Live....
Newtype Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 Jax hasn't been posting very much this past week. Think he's a little busy with Guitar Hero II.
Newtype Posted December 25, 2006 Author Posted December 25, 2006 Jax an Panch did a face off the other night. It was pretty even but I loved it when Panch was beating Jax by a few thousand only to have Jax make a near comeback near the end only to lose by 8 points.
Reverend Jax Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 8 points out of like 200,000. I nailed every note in the last 30 second to come oh so close. Panch has practiced, and on his songs of choice (on medium only) he can wreck shit up. He's got to get into hard mode soon, cause he absolutely refused to play against me in anything but medium.
Iambaytor Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Medium? Oh that's weak sausage, Mick. I've had mine since October and I can already do pretty damn good on Hard mode.
bishopcruz Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Well, GH 2 is coming out in March officially for the 360, I can't wait. There will be 10 new songs, 5 of which have been announced: "Billion Dollar Babies"--Alice Cooper "Hush"--Deep Purple "Dead!"--My Chemical Romance "Life Wasted"--Pearl Jam "Rock 'n' Roll Hoochie Koo"--Rick Derringer I've heard that there will be some Iron Maiden also, but we'll find out when they announce the other 5 new songs. RedOctane has also confirmed that there will be downloadable content (hopefully it will be GH1 songs among other things). The acheivement list looks pretty sweet too. I for one can't wait. I have been very close to getting the PS2 version a number of times, but this March release will be a nice birthday present. GH2 has been selling like hotcakes BTW, it was number 2 in sales for December, just behind Gears of War. Edit:
Stilly Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 GH2 = Best Game Ever. Ever. I'm still working on getting through hard (what can I say, I've only played it a handful of times, and I can't afford to go buy a PS2 and the game), but I'm getting there. ...still holding out for the X360 version of it, though.
