The NZA Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Good recon. i votes 730 at the all-ages Dolphin Mall or Kendall Villiage, ive been habitually late and comin in round midnight wont help that any. you might have to make some calls to get more folks on board, jax - i can tell you potentials'd be SuperE, possibly Chief, LL, Senshik, Panch, possibly Bishop & his crew, etc. Either way, lemme know what's settled on.
Reverend Jax Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Dolphin Mall? You know you've been too old to mack on 17 year olds for years now Nick, let alone the 14 year olds. A jury won't take kindly to the "grass-on-the-field" defense. I'm trying to think which theater we're least likely to get bullshit hooting and screaming during the movie. I guess Kendall Village is the one. I guess I gotta start making calls. Could you call Bishop and newtype, I don't have their numbers. I don't know if my number for Cheif is still good, and teh number I have for Isa could be old now too. I'll call up Adam, but he's probably still recooping from the break. I could call 2track and Duado (better odds on 2track). Arch might still be down about his grandfather passing and might not be in the mood, but Bishop would know better than we, so you cna ask him if he'd be down when you call him.

Still dont know what you got on Dolphin, Regal's worse about it: those kids fight and shit. Ill call bishop tomorrow, newtype usually needs time in advance to make the trip. I think Isa's # is the same, call her or let me know and ill do it...ill call Chief too. it just came to my attention that Senshik has seen all the Smith films except for Clerks...dammit.
Losifer Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 it just came to my attention that Senshik has seen all the Smith films except for Clerks...dammit. wow...thats funny considering i have the movie AND the animated series
The NZA Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 you do? dammit....she has no excuse! and if we go to the 730 showing, there's not enough time when she's off from work to catch it first...aargh. I wish she worked my job, she coulda watched it on the clock... I wish she'dve seen it before!
MetalHeart Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Endword and Stillbored are currently watching the midnight showing of this. If not for that pesky work, I would be with those kids right now! ...pesky work!
Senshik Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 I second that MH!!! Pesky jobs!!!! Yeah IC unlike US who have REAL jobs, we aren't allowed to watch movies on the clock. Either way when I get outta here I intend to go home and watch the movie (3pm or maybe 2pm). I'll be ready to watch this anticipated sequel for tonight!
Reverend Jax Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 Curtains, I have one thign to say to you. Thirty-seven. That is all. Nick, Isa has some totally bogus excuse about a friends father dying and having to go to the wake, or some other complete lie. Chief says he's down. Adam said he was probably down too. Couldn't get a hold of Pancho. Anyway, 7:35 and Kendall Village it is. So declares the Smoothie King!
Senshik Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 HAI! 7:30 it is! I don't get thirty seven. Must be something from Clerks? If so, I will soon find out.
Mr. Exclusive Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Yeah, can't make it to this one! Sorry folks! The bill fairy went crazy this month!
Reverend Jax Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 You slimy piece of...Pancho, you bettah make it out to this movie.
Reverend Jax Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 So, with 59 reviews, rottentomatoes.com currently has a 73% fresh rating, compared to Smith's other films... Clerks 85% Mallrats 49% Chasing Amy 93% Dogma 68% Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back 51% Jersey Girl 41% This is pretty good. If walk out of a movie that wasn't as quite good as Clerks but slightly better than Dogma, I'll have gotten my money's worth.

If walk out of a movie that wasn't as quite good as Clerks but slightly better than Dogma, I'll have gotten my money's worth. My question is: "How the hell did Chasing Amy get a 93%?" I have seen it. Endworld has seen it as well. I loved it, I absolutely loved every minute of it. I won't go into more detail to keep from spoiling anything (even for the ones that want spoilers...GO SEE IT YOURSELF). It was worth getting lost in Grapevine on the way to a 12:01 showing. Dowe went in not knowing what to expect (he's not seen any of the other movies in the view-askewniverse...we must initiate him), and I believe that he enjoyed the movie. Yes, there are a ton of references to the other movies (more about "Clerks." than any other movie though). Yes, there's a ton of off the wall humor that we love and adore. And so on and so forth. 9.2034 / 10 "Hey fucko! We like to call it inter-species erotica. " PS: Did anyone else notice that the movie is One hour and THIRTY SEVEN minutes long?
Reverend Jax Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 My question is: "How the hell did Chasing Amy get a 93%?" I'm glad you liked Clerks II, but what's so hard to understand about Chasing Amy getting 93%? It's was a crazy good movie.

MetalHeart Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 You guys got lost in Grapevine? bwahahaha. (sorry, I couldn't help it!) and before you say Dowe hasn't seen any Smith films, remember this: Everyone has seen Mallrats.
Stilly Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 You guys got lost in Grapevine? bwahahaha. (sorry, I couldn't help it!) and before you say Dowe hasn't seen any Smith films, remember this: Everyone has seen Mallrats. My bad, my bad. I didn't know.
The NZA Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 somewhere, there's a .gif/avatar of rosario dawson and her happy jackson 5 dance, and im counting on one of you to find it.
Reverend Jax Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 I liked it. Rosario Dawson: hottest woman ever. I would go ass to mouth on her.
SuperEeyore Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Curtains, I have one thign to say to you. Thirty-seven. That is all. Couldn't get a hold of Pancho. Anyway, 7:35 and Kendall Village it is. So declares the Smoothie King! You know...that is fucked up Jax... my friends Dad actually passed away last Saturday and the viewing wasn't until yesterday and they finally barried him today. Had I not felt obligated to go to the viewing I would have gone to see Clerks II. You evidently don't know what a big Kevin Smith fan I am. Hence going to Jersey just to go to his store and see if I could catch a glimse of him. ANYWAY....I hope you guys enjoyed the moive. I might see it tonight if not sometime next week even if I go alone. I will go see it. Damn it..
Reverend Jax Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 You know...that is fucked up Jax... Please Isa, it was obviously a joke. I told you I thought it was a lie over the phone and you laughed. I said it in a way that made it perfectly clear you had a legit excuse. If you were really such a big Kevin Smith fan, you'd see the humor in my jokes.
