Mr. Hakujin
I saw Catfish & The Social Network this weekend. Both are very different but equally riveting and enjoyable films and are recommended for a night at the show!
The NZA
keep meaning to see The Road...but yeah, hakus, post details on Catfish, was curious about that one.
the division of joy
yes!!!!! it was so much better than i expected. In fairness, I was really really high watching it, but I can't see it diminishing that much with sobriety. Ferrel was epic.
HypnotizinChikns
I've been on the lookout for Catfish, it isn't playing around here (surprise surprise) and i can't find it anywhere else. Or The Hunger for that matter.
Special K
I'm still more interested in Let Me In as far as how close it is to the book (Let The Right One In). Also, The Road, it's depressing. a good hangover movie. I really enjoyed The Road, it is a tear jerker.

Keth
Jackass 3D today. and it was hilarious! the 3D wasn't that great, but it could've been worse if it wasn't shot that way. A scene with a tether ball bee-hive had some of the best 3D effects, if not subtle The stunts were awesome. not as many as the last two movies, but longer buildups made them even funnier. Iambaytor
"Old Dogs" My condolences, I was dragged to see that last thanksgiving in theaters. It hurts my insides just thinking about it.

Iambaytor
I was dragged to see Vampires Suck. I want my money and time back. Having not seen Vampires Suck, I can't comment on its undoubtedly atrocious quality. However, I think Old Dogs was so terrible I think it gave me ball cancer, it is an utterly terrible fucking movie and its existence unnerves me to no end. the division of joy
Its 3.3 on IMDB is generous. Very very generous.
The NZA
right, so i wiki'd Old Dogs to see what all this was about, right? and i found this: The Chicago Daily Herald said the film "should be put out of our misery." i secretly adore it when snarky critics shit on a movie's title this way. inversely, when movies use it themselves as a cheesy tagline: The Negotiator: negotiations begin october 23rd" etc.

I tried to get some ppl down here to see it, but no one was interested in paying the inflated 3D ticket prices to see naked dudes pee, shit, and vomit on each other. Keth
just watched How to Train Your Dragon. it was really good and makes dragons seem cool again. a must watch on bluray. Edited October 21, 2010 by axel_napalm
Mr. Hakujin
I saw PREDATORS last night--not too bad for a movie that barely has any aliens in it. I give it a "B" just watched How to Train Your Dragon. it was really good and makes dragons seem cool again. a must watch on bluray. yeah, i took my nephew to see this one in 3D at the theater and was well impressed. the barebones blu-ray is $19 but the on w/ all the goodies is around $23. in an effort to curb my movie purchases i'm now only buying blu-rays and not spending over $20 per flick.
