Ganny McVagflaps Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Thank God for youtube 'cause these opening credits are the best. Tonight I've got I, Vitelloni and Guerrilla: The Taking of Patty Hearst to watch. Quote
Aartemys Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Loved it. Going to see it again & buying it when it comes out on DVD...I think I am in love with Seth Rogan...now *THAT'S* what I'm talkin' bout! Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Watching that tonight. The last film I saw: Pretty damn good. You definitely learn things you never knew about the MPAA, because they are things nobody in the public used to know. Quote
Senshik Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Korean film about a mutated sea monster and how it affects the lives of a particularly eccentric and cohesive family... It was indeed a pretty cool flick... there's more to this film than meets the eye is all I have to say... Thanks Junker for the recommendation and Nick for D/L it. check it out if you haven't yet. Reverend Jax Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 I saw Knocked Up on Friday night. Can't say yet whether it's lasting value will be better, just as good as, or slightly less good than The 40 Year Old Virgin, but it's definitly in the small ballpark. It won't have Steve Carell's star power to carry it, but hopefully this one will carry well though the summer. It got second place, just squeezing ahead of Shrek the Third at a little short of $30M. Beating Pirates would have been out of it's reach. Hopefully more people will check it out as next week it garbage with Ocean's 13 and Surf's Up. Quote
The NZA Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Aye, saw this myself, pretty good. Last film i saw, Infernal Affairs really? howd you like it? I fuckin loved that movie. Jax: so, not as good as 40yr virgin but worth bootlegging/seeing? and yeah, that Hostel 2 thing looks...harsh. Any word on when it comes out? Quote
Stilly Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Friday...but let's just say...um... I have a DVD rip of a workprint of it. It's pretty harsh. Quote
The NZA Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 you got a screener already? no shit?! man, you gotta torrent that or something! well...if you dont, ive no doubt La Lindsay's gonna wanna see it in theatres. Quote
Aartemys Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 It was cute. I took my nephew on Saturday to see the premiere...kids'll love it. Not a Shrek the Third or a Meet the Robinson's...but a cute movie nontheless. Quote

You definitely learn things you never knew about the MPAA, because they are things nobody in the public used to know. I think we should join. I get on really well with priests. Hey Ly, so I'm sure it's a given or whatever, but there's Bijou titties, right? 'cause lemme just tell you, I loves me some cracked-out lookin' slutty-slutty-slut-slut Bijou titties. Watched Catch & Release today. It was good for what is was. My question to whoever's seen it though: Why did Kevin Smith try and kill himself ? Did I miss something. Quote

I'll assume you're talking about the actress. *Reads wiki/IMDB entry a bit further* If you're talking about Hostel, I haven't seen it (either of them). I don't plan to. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Nick, Knocked Up was awesome. I have to wait before decidig if I like it better, but it's definitely close if not better. Quote
Masque Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 2046. Directed by Wong-Kar Wai Haven't see the previous films either. Sonny you'd love this bloke's work, you really would. It's all so visually unique and stylised. Cinematography at it's finest buddy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2046_%28film%29 Quote

The best is the opening scene, the surfin' USA song. "If everybody had an Uzi..." or whatever it was. Val Kilmer needs more props. Quote
