spiffytee Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 ok... i totally had to get this song out there.... so i did the *gasp* internet thing..... (but to saturday night live!!!) i had recently downloaded the 'valentine' song from saturday night live... basically this guy named jimmy vallon redoes songs for the holidays reminicent of weird al and plays em on the guitar while singing... so if you're talking the same song i am, here goes (try singing this to the melody of the song)... She said she likes hard candy I said yeah who doesn't She likes the little candies Her favorite ones with the hearts With all the words on them like 'hug me' and 'kiss me' and 'miss ya' and 'cutie pie' And I said if I get those then maybe tonight you'll be mine Valentine She said you're a complete idiot Cause it's almost midnight on Valentine's Day and I haven't gotten one damn candy And I said if I get you those things then maybe you'll be mine Valentine Took her hand, brushed back her hair and I sang to her I said if I get you those things then maybe you'll be mine Valentine I know a place It's open up all night Valentine Valentine Valentine Quote
JunkerSeed Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Nah, MLB was taling about "Amphetamine" by everclear methinks. Great band, pretty underratted. Here's one from another band I think is really underrated, from the most underrated cd on earth IMO. Not such a hard one tho "but i still feel you pulse like sonar from the days in the waves that girl is like a sunburn i would like to say the girl is like a sunburn i would like to say she's like a sunburn she's like a sunburn " Quote
spiffytee Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Shawn Mullins' "Lullaby" couldnt' get the damn song out of my head. way to bust my bubble, junker. just wait... i'll put something on less alternative-like.... btw... ic, that was really mean putting a fluke song on there.... Quote
The NZA Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Wow, Spiffy busted me out - but damn man you suck at this game! Junker's was "Never let you go" by Third Eye Blind - still waitin on that new album review man... OK here's one that should be easy for Spiffy, but Junker has to stay quiet: a simple man a sycophant her elephant with the laughing call she wants clean sheets and fresh flowers and dental shots and the hong kong glue.. Ganny McVagflaps Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 I know who this is but the song - I havenae clue. So I'm not gonna say squat (as I usually make an ass outta myself with my stoopid ass song titles) except give a clue who it is. Bald dude married to the bassist with an Asian guitar player who had a hit single solo and a horrible junkie of a drummer. Don't really smile alot. They were pretty big. Quote
BrigitDryad0 Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 Annie-Dog, Smashing Pumpkins. Swallow purple terror candy Don't forget to breathe Sickened by the wanting And drowning from the need This dichromatic vision Of one who does not care To sipping cocktail sedatives Two months to hide somewhere... Once someone gets this (if anyone does), everyone who's mildly interested go find the rest of the lyrics, or ask me for them, or whatever. They're pretty wild. We're talking organ donation here. ;) Nearly the whole album's like this. Wouldn't know it from the released singles... Quote
Ganny McVagflaps Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 That's easy...it's "wannabe" by the Spice Girls. Quote
MyLeakyBucket Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 still pissed i wasn't here to get the smashing pumpkins one from IC. One of my faves from Adore, kickass. No idea Brigit... Quote
BrigitDryad0 Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 That's easy...it's "wannabe" by the Spice Girls. You're on crack. Given, "Goodbye" was okay, but the Spice Girls ain't THIS good at lyricizing (is that a word?). Try again. Quote
Ganny McVagflaps Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 Hmmmm...that song "Thank You" was pretty sweet too. Is it that? Quote
MyLeakyBucket Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 Spice Girls an fucking die. Not point googling-it. Any chance of getting some lyrics from a different song by the same artist/band? ??? Will we Brits know them? Quote
Ganny McVagflaps Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Yeah...I think from now on the songs should have to be singles to qualify..some of the shit is pretty obscure and there's not a chance in hell anyone'll get 'em. So...is it "Spice up your Life" by the Spice Girls? Quote
Aartemys Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 Starting from scratch... ...and the earth becomes my throne I adapt to the unknown under wandering stars I've grown by myself but not alone I ask no one ...and my ties are severed clean the less I have the more I gain off the beaten path I reign rover wanderer nomad vagabond call me what you will Quote
Reverend Jax Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 Whereever I May Roam, Metallica, of their fifth album, the self-titled album often refered to as "The Black Album." Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along. When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on) If you feel like letting go, (hold on) If you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on Quote
Aartemys Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Jax, get back to us on that one...moving along... Empty spaces - what are we living for Abandoned places - I guess we know the score On and on, does anybody know what we are looking for... Another hero, another mindless crime Behind the curtain, in the pantomime Hold the line, does anybody want to take it anymore Quote
