Stilly Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Has anyone else checked out the list of IGF 2007 games? There are some pretty awesome sounding ones in there. Check this out, gives a review on several of the games with links to demos and whatnot: http://forums.indiegamer.com/showpost.php?...amp;postcount=4 A couple of my random favorites in there: Virtual Villagers, and Kingdom Elemental. Penumba and Perplex City sound pretty wicked as well.
bishopcruz Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Perplex City is an ARG right? THose can be pretty cool, The Haunted Apiairy was pretty sweet. Big indy game I'm waiting in is Small Arms: A four player cross between Super Smash Bros and Metal Slug? Online? Xbox Live Arcade? Sign me the fuck up. And it's made by four guys in a loft.
The NZA Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Junkerseed introduced me to this multi-player fighter classc, Little Fighter! Losifer, other fighter fans, you gotta check this one out, its a lotta fun!

Yeah, Perplex City is an ARG...looks like it's going to rock, and I believe that they were able to strike a deal with Gamestop, so we should be seeing it in stores here shortly. I love Indie Games, and I don't really know why. Seems to be more of a chance to breed innovation when you don't have to pander to what the publishers want.
Thelogan Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Now lets jump to indie games 2012 Mother of god, are you fucking kidding me? That looks cooler than most retail games I've played lately.
Newtype Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Humble Indie Bundle V (Amnesia, LIMBO, Psychonauts, Sword & Sworcery, Bastion)
Thelogan Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Hell yeah! Thank you sir. I've been meaning to get Bastion for awhile now, and I'll certainly take the rest too.
Keth Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 A bunch of cheap games I can actually play! These are all pretty great (except for that swords and sorcery... I haven't spent alot of time with that one.)
IceManML Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Apparently, because of the success of Journey, Thatgamecompany is now independently funded. Not a lot of $, but independent nonetheless. (apparently made $5 mil from Journey) http://www.gamesradar.com/thathamecompany-gets-funding-release-games-independently/
The NZA Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 that's awesome news, ive liked all they did this gen - but i did read much of the team that did Journey kinda broke up, curious to see what they do next.
IceManML Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Well that sux... I didnt hear that... I totally missed out on that humble pack thing. When I picked up my iphone I discovered this dood named Steph Therion. He released a game on ipone called Eliss. Very unique gameplay and hella addicting. if you have an iphone you should pick it up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZXuqBkCTT8
Mortiis558 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Speaking of those bundles, I never got that bundle that was bought for me some odd long time ago...can I still get it? lol
Thelogan Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Yup! You should have a key somewhere in your email. They last forever.
Thrizzle Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 A delightful, lighthearted romp through the candy colored whimsy of childhood. It's also educational, I learned a lot about how life as a kid in Russia is subtly different than it is in other places (except for Detroit, kids there are pretty much the same). It always leaves you with a smile on your face and a dream in your heart. Get it here.
