Reverend Jax Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Power Pop band Ok Go has released the followup to their self titled debut, and it is good. While I don't like any of the songs on it as much as I like Get Over It off the first album (yet, goota give it more listens), Ok Go has rocketed over the dreaded 'sophmore slump' that plauges so many bands with great debuts. Prior to the release of the album, they became the hottest thing on YouTube with 2 music videos, A Million Ways and Here It Goes Again (the latter being the truely impressive one), each one a continuous single shot dance number. Like the first album, Ok Go is still much better at the upbeat stuff than the balladry, but that's fine, the album kicks off with the super fun song, 'Invincible' (When they finally come to destroy the earth, they’ll have to go through you first, and I bet they wont be expecting that, When they finally come to destroy the earth, they’ll have to deal with you first, And my money says they won’t know about the 1000-Fahrenheit hot metal lights behind your eyes!) and never really lags or slows down. In the same vein as Weezer, you owe it to yourself to check out if you haven't already, then the video to A Million Ways, and if you liek it go ahead and downlaod buy the album...yes...buy it
deacon Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Quite a good band. Amazing videos obviously
