I've been watching this for a few days, i'm about at episode 15 and all i have to say is 'wow'.

 

As a general rule, I hate animes: I simply could never get into them. But Death Note is so well done, has such amazing writing, that it blows me away.

It's one of the best written I've come across...even towards the end, it's still classy.

Arch/Lottie/everyone else - Check out Paranoia Agent. Dark, moving, intelligent and only 13 episodes long. After Cowboy Bebop, probably my all-time favorite anime. And Susumu Hirasawa's soundtrack is just to fucking die for.

What little I've seen of the dub wasn't bad. I especially like that they continued calling him a shinigami.
