Uncut Magazine recently put out a compilation of the new wave of psychedelic bands, including Dead Meadow and Comets on Fire. The tracks are available as MP3s here:

Download them-- QUICK, LIKE A BUNNY-- because who knows how long they'll be hosted by that blog.

Be sure to check out "Indian Bones" by Dead Meadow.

Especially if you have booze (or other, um, mind-altering substances).

If you still have your Christmas lights up, I'd recommend playing "Indian Bones" on a loop, getting trashed, then staring at them.

Maybe have a sip of that Christmas Tree Water while you're at it. The cat does it. It's cool.

Love,

Bob

I don't know about psychedelic, but it's definitely surreal.

The Muppets and Sesame Street were created by hippies, so it's definitely got some cred there.

And is Fraggle Rock not the finest show about living in a commune, wearing minimal clothing, and eating the delicious crystalline structures put up by The Man?

Doj is 100% right about WLN's avatar being Hal 9000, unless ASC was asking about my avatar, in which cause, I can't say because I have 50, yes count them, 50 hondos cool points set aside for whom identifies the origin and artist of my avatar (Riddleresque hint: if you can find the origin of the art, the artist is a piece of cake).

PS How'd you lik my clue? Piece of cake = Crumb. Eh?

I edited my first response 'cause it was along the lines of "It looks to me like a Crumb, I think I'm right" and then after the fact the Riddler-esque clue sunk in (it was late, gimme a break :pinch: ) and I edited that to make my "R. CRUMB!" post.

I can't wait to get my cool points. How much do one of those Malousyan babies Madonna got cost?
