Reverend Jax Posted June 6, 2002 Author Posted June 6, 2002 DAMNIT! I thought the images would appear next to the names! DAMNIT! And I can't edit that. If admins have the power to edit polls, please fix that. Quote
Silent Bob Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 Not you bring forth your wrath, or anything, JMT, but for me this one really is "no contest". Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 6, 2002 Author Posted June 6, 2002 Of course it's no contest! This is just a clever ploy to exposure foolish mortals whom vote for Cool World so I can laugh at them for their foolishness and their mortality. Gwahahaha! Cool World was slick and all, but it was no Roger Rabbit! Quote
The NZA Posted June 6, 2002 Posted June 6, 2002 Never saw Cool World, looked like shit to me... Eh, i can edit your topic, not the actual polls: thats up to you, kinda set in stone. If ya want, PM me, ill delete this so you can do it over if its a big deal. Â I say just post the images in this thread; folks'll get it. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 6, 2002 Author Posted June 6, 2002 are images not permited within the poll? Quote
The NZA Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 Apparently not...at least not in this board's version. Â Theyre also not gonna work in topic titles, neither do smileys, it seems. Â Again, post em here if ya wanna. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 7, 2002 Author Posted June 7, 2002 I guess. When that like thermometer hits 100%, will images and smilies be allowed on the polls and titles? Â Who Framed Roger Rabbit? VS Cool World Quote
Silent Bob Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 She's married to Roger Rabbit? Yeah...what a lucky goil. Quote
The NZA Posted June 7, 2002 Posted June 7, 2002 Not quite sure, Jack, ill look into it..i think the polls stay the same for now to be honest, tho there is a page of hacks somewhere that might allow small .gifs of somethin in a poll's description...again, most stuff here in Fight Club has a poll and then pictures, works fine most times. ...what's the competition exactly tho, better movie, or better chick? Â 'Cause Jessica Rabbit's winnin hands down thus far, if even for her booby trap. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 8, 2002 Author Posted June 8, 2002 No, it's a better movie competetion, it's just, well, any excuse to post pictures of Jessica Rabbit I found some pictures on Google of real women dressing up as Jessica Rabbit, for halloween and stuff. None did her justice. If anyone finds one, please post it! Quote
King of Snake Posted June 9, 2002 Posted June 9, 2002 Well I remember enjoying Cool World, but only in an average, 'there's worse ways to spend a couple of hours' kinda way, so it's gotta be WFRR for me. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 9, 2002 Author Posted June 9, 2002 well, I'm getting the feeling that a hundred people could vote and Cool World would get a single vote. And you know how it is with online polls. No matter how stupid the question, some one will vote for the stupid choice. We could put a poll on Cnn.com, "Should Osama Bin Laden be brought to justice, or allowed to remain free?" and somebody would vote for the second. Quote
King of Snake Posted June 9, 2002 Posted June 9, 2002 You proved your point anyway, it's just the person never posted why so you don't get to take the piss. Â And the 'brought to justice' question, is that Dubya's idea of justice cos I wouldn't vote for that. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 10, 2002 Author Posted June 10, 2002 Who ever said that any varible "X" could ever be replaced with "Dubya's idea of X" and still be what I meant? Quote
King of Snake Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 I know you didn't say that, it's just that Dubya seems to have been left in charge of the bringing to justice... Quote
MyLeakyBucket Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 Was 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', a cartoon, or am I missing something? See the movie, kicked ass! Quote
King of Snake Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 Was it a cartoon? That a serious question? Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 10, 2002 Author Posted June 10, 2002 I know you didn't say that, it's just that Dubya seems to have been left in charge of the bringing to justice... that's nonsense! I'm sure Dubya spends more time counting his toes and being surprised everytime he comes up with ten. If he were really "in charge" in any manner, the world would have already stopped to a screetching hault from crashing into the preverbial wall and blown up. He's nothing but a figurehead, and a sign of how short this country is on adequate figureheads. Quote
King of Snake Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 By Dubya, I meant the figurehead and the organisation who feed him his lines and make his decisions. I honestly don't believe in the 'bomb him off the face of the earth' sense of justice, he should be caught and forced to rot away in prison. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 11, 2002 Author Posted June 11, 2002 You know what punishment I like best. Osama (along with the rest of the Al Quida) believe they will go to heaven when they die for their quest against the US, right. Have him cryogenetically frozen indefinitaly, so he never dies. So once he's caught, before he gets frozen, he knows he'll live in limbo forever and never meet God in heaven. Now that's justice! Sure, it goes against the American principle of cruel and unusual punishment, but it wouldn't be the first time the US governemt ignored the constitution and this would be a funny violation of justice. Quote
King of Snake Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 Interesting, revenge is a dish best served cold! Quote
Silent Bob Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 Hell, no. Revenge is a dish best served with a side of whoop-ass. Quote
Reverend Jax Posted June 11, 2002 Author Posted June 11, 2002 You don't get it Bob, they don't care about the whoop-ass. The members of teh Al Quida "know" that once they die, you go to heaven where they will be meet by endless field of virgins for the rest of eternity. Whooping there ass would be a punishment. But tell them you're gonna freeze them, then you better believe theyll feel punished. And they can't kill themselves in captivity, that's a mortal sin. Now that's punishment! Quote
JunkerSeed Posted June 11, 2002 Posted June 11, 2002 Kind of like how when we bombed vietnam, we used white phosphorous and napalm rather than normal bombs sometimes for the sole reason that the vietnamese beleived that if you burned to death your soul floated in limbo forever. Quote
