Thought I would enlighten the board with my progress in D2 so far.  Don't know if I'll continue playing, maybe when the next patch is released.

Fuckin hell! With all that enhanced defense & speed, how the hell do you get hit anyway? Lv 81...christ.  Looks like you aint levelin up for a bit, but damn that's high.

Well, for a melee Paladin, you basically have two choices for a main aura... Concentration or Fanaticism

 

Concentration gives major damage boost as well as a % to uninterruptable attack.  Good spell, but usually leaves you open to get hit before you do the hitting, since there's no speed boost.  Also affects every member within range of the spell.  Fanaticism gives you a damage boost below concentration, but greatly increases attack speed and attack rating, therefore you hit first, you hit more often and you hit hard.  The range of the spell is tiny tho, so party members have to be close.

 

Vengeance is my strongest weapon attack.  It gives Fire, Ice, Lightning to every swing, plus attack rating bonus.  Good for physically immune monsters.

Oh, and... the last few pics are of my mercenary's gear.  He has a defensive aura that when I combine it with my Paladin Holy Shield skill puts me over 9000 defense.  He'll be fine at around 5000+.  Takes him a minute to turn it on tho.
