The NZA
Team ICO made 2 of the PS2's best games (my opinion): Ico, a beautiful puzzle/platformer where a young boy leads Yorda out of a dangerous castle, and the more popular and amazing Shadow of the Colossus, the prequel where your protagonist takes on what seems to be the gods themselves to bring his love back. They're an amazing combination of gorgeous art design and great level design (for the former) with highly memorable boss design for the latter. Again, personally they rank in my top 5, and its a shame to have a ps2 and not played one, if not both of these titles. Thusly, any news on Team ICO's next project for the PS3 gets my attention quickly. Sadly, Tokyo Game Show '08 came & went with no new details, but this leaked out recently: Now on to the VGAs! According to rumors, Team ICO will be unveiling their mysterious game which has many gamers excited with anticipation. Some have even speculated that the game would be a sequel to Shadow of Colossus or ICO. There has been a great deal of false hope given in the past at E3 and at the Tokyo Game Show with a no show of the highly anticipated game. Hopefully, the rumors turn out to be true. yup. that's all we got so far, and its got my interest piqued. More as it comes.
The NZA
Project TRICO; a new reason for me to give a shit about E3, or possibly TGS. aw, fuckin Ueda, you just know ima be bawling like a baby about that big cat thing by the end of the game. gunsmithx
The backgrounds(like always) look fucking amazing but that critter is a touch odd, can't wait to see more! and how it connects with the first 2 games.
The NZA
i agree, in the video he stands out - he's well enough animated, and the backgrounds are lush like the team does, but theyre not meshing overly well for me. we'll see how the final build is. Ueda keeps saying expect more Ico from this, already seems that way from the video. Given that the ending of both prior games shows Shadow of the Colossus first, and ICO as its clear sequel, im guessing this is after that? as in, mebbe we're seeing the offspring of Ico and Yorda? gunsmithx
did I miss horns on the kid? Also need to finish shadow one of these days lol perhaps before I buy imfamous.
Maldron
did I miss horns on the kid? Also need to finish shadow one of these days lol perhaps before I buy imfamous. The horns were a curse that didn't follow bloodlines, but rather affected a kid every so many years. It's entirely possible that he wouldn't have any. Iambaytor
Well it appears they're trying to combine the gameplay elements of Ico and Shadow of the Colosuss into one game, which was what I wanted, but they're combining the wrong ones. I was really hoping to spend more time climbing up a giant's shaggy ass for the privelege of stabbing it in the forehead again. And it looks like they kept a lot of the more tedious elements of Ico (you know, minus escorting that stupid bitch around. Seriously Baby Mario was less of a chore than she was) I'm interested to see how they implement the baby Griffin into gameplay though (as he appears to be the hook for this game) lets just hope he controls better than that goddamn horse. (FUCK YOU AGRO!)
The NZA
Agro gave everything he had for you, you ungrateful whore! Ive not seen nearly enough to say any of that's necessarily true yet, man. again, still one of the titles i bought a PS3 for, so ill post up anything i find as it comes, but mother-of-all-@#$%in-escort-missions or not, Ueda's 2 for 2 in my book. Iambaytor
I grew horns and got sucked into a spinning vortex of evil, the fucking horse just hurt its fucking leg a little. Fuck it.
gunsmithx
well looks like I'm spending my sunday on shadow at this point.... wonder if i should break and get a guide like nick gets for all his games :P
Iambaytor
People still buy guides? They have this thing now called the internet, they've got it on computers and everything! Really I don't see why it takes people so long to finish this game I hammered it out in a week and the only hard part about the last Colossus is getting to him, then it's just like every other battle. The NZA
wait, i have guides? ive got those ones eli gave me, but most of what ive got are artbooks. i mean, if you're too fancy for gamefaqs, just borrow a guide from a friend and help yourself to any maps it might have and theaw shit

The NZA
thread's new name reflects the former "Project Trico"'s new title. ill post the footage when it drops, looks like the leaked shit we saw recently with a giant, super-imposed creature following a hornless Ico-like boy were legit, but that came from over a year ago, so E3 participants are saying it looked way sharper/refined. Still no ballpark of a date (maybe Tokyo Game Show will bring this?), but seriously, any news on this one makes me happy.

It will make it all the sweeter when I KILL/CONSUME WITH EVIL/HAVE SOME GUY ON A HORSE COME AND STAB IN THE MAGIC SEAL him at the end of the game!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!" Mark my words! MARK THEM!!! Mortiis558
This game looks like it will be worth whatever wait we have to endure. Will definately be keeping my eyes on this.
90sKid
For some reason I'm feeling really, REALLY hyped off by the trailer =/ shit, I LOVE both Ico and SotC -this one being in my holy trinity of video games-, but this just looks... well, boring. I don't see any appeald in cute creatures and if this ends up being a long escort mission I'm gonna cry like the big baby I am. Also, I don't want Ico 2, because if anything, I'd much rather have SotC 2.

MARK THEM!!! this is totally gonna happen. the trailer stops just shy of showing it to you. i mean, on one hand, Yorda got out ok somehow, though the ending really made you think she wouldnt/couldnt. even the horse in SOTC...well, you saw the ending. Also, I don't want Ico 2, because if anything, I'd much rather have SotC 2. eh, dont get your hopes up then: i know that's what most people want, but one of the only details weve had for a year now is that its gonna be much closer to Ico in design, which after seeing this, im all for. Which is a total bitch to use while playing a game. Plus I'm lazy and I don't feel like getting up every few hours to look it up.
Iambaytor
I don't know, I've always found it much easier to have it open on the computer screen next to me where I can pause the game and scroll instantly and even scroll with my progress then to keep one of those thigns open next to me and have to flip back to the index every time i need something. I advise a computer near the tv, or a laptop.
