Jumbie
OK, so people here might have some knowledge about this. Once upon a time, my dad, who has an pistol he uses for home protection, bought some hollow points. I was a kid, but I remember how excited he was, because they were hard to get back home. When he actually had some target practice with them, however, he found them to be less accurate than regular bullets. So much so that he gave away his hollow points. So, my question is, are hollow points inherently less accurate? Or did my dad just get a badly made batch? Does performance vary by brand/ design? Signal08
yes, the quality of ammo has a lot to do with it. Hollow points are the least accurate of the rounds, but only at far distances. Self defense you want hollow points, cuz shooting someone 90 yards away prolly isnt self defense. target practice, go with full metal jackets and get the expensive shit, you do get what you pay for. Head towards Miccasukee on 8th Street. Its about 2 minutes before the casino on your right. The Remington I rented cost $10 and the round of skeet cost $9.
