Jumbie
So I'm listening to track one of the new Springsteen album for the second time. I haven't even got to the second track. Good song. Outlaw Pete. Weird thing is the words are pure Springsteen, a Western ballad, but the music sounds more like The Killers than Springsteen. Even his voice sounds more like he's singing than grumbling. :-) Still, can't blame a man for trying new styles, right?> I downloaded this album cuz I wanted to get the Wrestler song from the movie. Good song. Think the one legged dog reference shoulda been 3 legged dog, just for realism sake, but that tells you more about the weird minutiae that my mind gets bogged down in than anything else. I heard Springsteen perform the title track, Runnin down a Dream on Colbert and didn't care for it. Not a bad song, just forgettable.
Reverend Jax
The boss performed on The Daily Show, not Colbert. I haven't listened to any of Springsteen's new albums since the E Street Band got back together, but I hear all three as really good. I might download this new one. Jumbie
Colbert, Stewart,.... It's the same fucking thing. But I guess that shows the kind of useless minutiae your brain gets bogged down in.
Reverend Jax
As if you needed any further examples, after all these years, of the kind of minutiae that bogs down my brain.
