If a person posts a relevant topic in Politics, it will stay there. 2. I ONLY move posts/threads when they stop belonging in politics. 3. This is a personal attack and, as such, specifically constitutes abuse of modship powers on Jax's behalf, who appears to be no stranger to abusing modship powers. So this is quite simple: restore the thread back where it belongs, Jax, I or I will fight fire with fire. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- there. Crap shacking posts and threads is in no way censorship, and since there are no formal rules about what should be posted, I've decided to enforce rules I make up. In this case, Joel posted an article that called Obama a monkey. Have determined that this incendiary vitriol is not appropriate for Politics, but instead appropriate for the Crap Shack, I have gone through all the appropriate avenues for which Joel has set the precedent. I made up a rule, I didn't recuse myself for possibly having a personal stake in the matter, I didn't consult anybody, and I acted as judge, jury and executioner. If anyone thinks this policy (aka Joel's policy) is not reasonable, perhaps we should open the floor to suggestions of how moderators should handle crap shacking from here on in. Dunno why Jax is so butthurt over these posts on particular though. Also pretty damn sure that had it been any other mod that moved the posts, he wouldn't give a shit either. If the topic doesn't have anything to do with politics, I move it to where it does belong. If the posts start going way off topics, I split the topic and adjust. and if trolls muddy up the thread, I clean it up. What you did was grab a post that was relevant to the thread and, for purely personal reasons, crapped shacked it. You're a dishonest, transparant tool. If you don't like trolls skip the post and move on if you do, read it and move on. Trolls are accepted, allowed and often encouraged in all the other forums, why should politics be any different? I'd like to see a conservative approach, instead, you have taken a itchy trigger finger approach. I have brought this up before, and though I had the power to reverse every crap shacking you've done in the past few months, I've instead objected to your decisions and let them stand while asking you to undo them yourself. You've turned a deaf ear to Nick and Jumbie and I when we all tell you the Politics forum is not meant to be a troll free or tangent free zone. Now until you listen ease up on your arbitrary and Draconian authoritarianism, I will continue to make up my own rules, that will always penalize your threads, just by coincidence.
