  1. Alright Everyone So, I actually have a PC set up at the moment (ol' Compy 386) and a bit of free time......SO IMMA FINALLY DO THE FUCKING UPGRADE Probably in the next week or two. There are incompatibilities with the templates / skins - and seeing as that's basically all my fault, I'll have to dig through each one and make them work. Fortunately, they're all based on the same thing, so once I get one working, I should be able to get all of them working pretty quickly. I'm not sure how broken things will be until I get them working, but I know that there are

  2. Also, I'm pinning this for the time being. A lot of this is being copied straight from the #welcome, #rules, and #formatting channels in the new box, so if you're familiar with Discord, you can skip a lot of this and read up there. Without further ado... Here shortly, I will be rolling out our BRAND NEW HOLLABOX!!! Things are going to be a bit under construction for a while, so please pardon our dust. If you need help with something specific, you can @ one of us (it's the same mod team as the rest of the site), or you can get a hold of us through standard means. Make sur

  3. for the last time, man - you were simply asked not to bump birthday threads of people often not here for nigh on a decade, something considered minor etiquette on other boards. i'd even explained that, a while back, i'd switched gears & tried to stop glorifying past members too much - yeah, some of them are missed, but it does a disservice to current members, as i've been told countless times over the years. you're not reminiscing, nor are you wishing someone a happy birthday in a venue they'll see it (this is what social media is for), you're ignoring requests from staff a

  4. They're all horror. Similarly there is Penny Dreadful, The Terror, Hannibal, The Exorcist, Bates Motel, Kolchak the Night Stalker, Stranger Things, Tales From the Crypt, Twin Peaks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Masters of Horror, Outcast, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Walking Dead, Ash vs. The Evil Dead, The Outer Limits (the actual science fiction version of The Twilight Zone, still horror), Dead Set, The X-Files, even Game of Thrones has a serious horror bent. We're in the golden age of horror TV, that reviewer is a bonehead.

  5. Tonight was Panch's amaaaazing superhero-themed baby shower where costumes were encouraged! So @The NZA and I dressed up as Netflix's Jessica Jones, and Daredevil (season 1, before he gets his costume made). Check it out! Thanks for this one, @Newtype! We had such a fun night. It was by far the best shower I've ever been to! Now, to prepare our couple's cosplay for Supercon!

  6. NZA and I went to Paradise City Comic Con this weekend! He had talked about wearing the Captain America winter soldier costume he'd gotten for Halloween and I toyed with the idea of doing a "couples" cosplay with him. I wasn't interested in going as Natasha, so I decided to dress up as Bucky instead! We didn't get any good pics of Nick yesterday (except for some professional ones a friend took that won't be ready for a bit), but here's the costume from Halloween: And here is my cosplay from yesterday!

  7. You forgot to mention that we dressed up like Wednesday and Pugsley for the premiere cuz we’re huge nerds! I was very nervous about this because when studios slap a critics embargo on a movie, it’s usually because they don’t want early negative reviews to stop people from buying tickets. I was certain this was going to be awful but I HAD to see it because it’s my favorite franchise of all time. I was so worried they wouldn’t make the family dark enough, they wouldn’t highlight Gomez and Morticia’s beautifully unconventional marriage, they wouldn’t make Wednesday murderous enough

  8. @Jumbie @The NZA - We're BACK - Sorry about the delay. Turns out the official servers died a few days ago, but someone else stepped up to host. When I can, I will host on my own. Hopefully, I'll be able to do this when I'm making a bit more $$$, so that we don't have to worry about this shit again. Again, sorry, the last couple months have been stupid stressful. Love you guys.

  9. A couple years ago I started collecting lapel/enamel pins and buttons. I foolishly put them on the outside flap of a messenger bag without buying more secure backings and lost a few, so I was disheartened. But I recently started up again, and found bags that have clear plastic windows that let you display pins from inside the bag, so you can't lose them (called ITA bags). So I'm back in the game! These are my most recent purchases. I will have to catalog my entire collection soon. I have some really neat ones! Also, if anyone ever sees any online that you think I'd like, please ple

  11. Stash at work was full so I had to buy some shit. Web Warriors 1-11 Some Skottie covers. Joe Mad JL Rebirth variant. Some cool covers I liked, plus Red Goblin appearance. And decided to frame Venomverse Gwenpool because that looks really neat and fill the wall well. Gonna frame those some more of those at some point, but I really wanted this one up. This good? Looks pretty cool! And a Krampus Pop!

  12. Whenever I hear people recommending CW shows, there's always a lot of: "Just get through the first seventeen episodes and then it gets really good. It's still a little cheesy, but great. Now it does dip again for the next two seasons but the first three episodes of the current season is pretty close to its best" In the golden age of television, that's a long winded way of saying "Don't watch it".

  15. Oh yeah, I forgot to post those! My friend took a few pictures at PCCC and he sent me a link for Flickr, but I can't download the hi-res versions because they're protected. So these are screen grabs. Quality isn't as great, but you get the idea! He was using a weird prism thing on his camera to get some of the effects. I think @The NZA looks so good in the first one! I love that shot!!

  16. Just got outta Rampage. I'm gonna go ahead and say, that was the best video game based movie ever made. It was big and loud and dumb. The acting was cheesy as fuck and the dialogue was pretty terrible. And that's what made it so damn fun. It almost went over into parody territory, but felt more like an homage to old monster b-movies. Every performance was hammed up to 11. Plus the monster action was really cool. Lots of money shots and great fist pump moments. It was just a blast.

  19. So I made the jump. I ordered the 1TB base PS4 with FIFA 18 and a controller, from Amazon. And then to ebay where I picked up: Batman: Arkham Knight Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (GOTY Edition) Mad Max Fallout 4 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag I got all the above for €420 which I was delighted with.

  20. The humor's fair, though dumb jarring humor is a hallmark of the Star Wars series at large, even Empire so getting pissy at this one for doing it is a weird hill to die on. But this: And this: Tell me you checked out pretty early on. Nothing in this movie is pointless. (Well, nothing but BB-8)

  21. Here's a little preview of what I've got so far. I'm having fun. It's not perfect (nor will it be) but I've got a solid start so far. If y'all are interested, here is my script for issue 1. Note: I have no script writing experience, so I have no idea if that's as long as it should be, or if it's enough to crank out 20 or so pages for a starter. And it will be tweaked as I draw and place everything. Hell it's already been tweaked a little bit. More to come soon!

  22. I'm just gonna get right into it! So, it's kinda cheesy, but I bought a sketch pad just for jotting down ideas in when I think them up. I'm thinking of this project less like a comic book, and more like a video game. I'm giving the characters bosses to fight, and upgrades to receive. Characters: The Kailo Family (Kailo is an indo-european root that means whole/safe/uninjured) Shrike Kailo- She's blind! And a genius! And uses a whip! Daredevil meets Batman, but not as overly serious. That

  26. Avengers Endgame is up! It's got a decent amount of bonus material--roughly 45 minutes of featurettes plus a few minor deleted scenes and the standard gag reel. I watched the Stan Lee tribute twice already. I'm not crying. YOU'RE crying!

  27. Took a break from unpacking to take some pics of my pin collection! These are a few of what I have so far: TV and movie pins. Halloween, Steve Buscemi from that 30 Rock scene, Die Hard, Clue, Troop Beverly Hills, Big Lebowski, Bob’s Burgers. Dark/creepy/mysterious stuff! Self-explanatory! A corgi made by a friend, an anhinga (my favorite bird of all time!), the Kind pin that we got for free for attending the Women’s March in DC. Just got these, thanks to @Da Cap'n 2099 who tagged me in a post on IG!

  28. Two outliers tethered to big franchises: Venom & Solo. Both were charming to me for weirdly the same reason: They both reeked of the 90's. Venom had to be set in San Fran for obvious reasons but the scenery and backdrop took me straight back to the Vs Spiderman & Separation Anxiety SNES games, and certainly the buddy-cop tone and additional characters support this feel. That cameo at the end was great, but so damned arbitrarily inserted. Solo pulled in hallmarks of 90's expanded universe lore. There's reference to Teras Kasi, Sabacc and probably ple

  30. The idea for this thread stems from the fact I have a book entitled, 101 Horror Films You Must See Before You Die, in which this film is no where to be seen. I feel it is often overlooked and not nearly appreciated enough. I'm not sure how well known it is in the States but highly recommended. Perfect blend of dark humour and horror. The directorial debut of Danny Boyle and one of the first films starring Ewan McGregor. Alsostarring Christopher Eccleston, who may be familiar to Dr. Who fans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbxNej_MJlw

Same layout but so much more comfy, isolated speaker contributes to immersion of play the same way the Wiiu gamepad did but not as clumsy. In terms of exclusives Sony's the move, man. Last of Us, Spiderman, that one from those guys who did that other thing.... I don't think a pro's necessary for anything because my understanding is that it's a very spartan 'upgrade' and is still spacker in the ways that ma

This version has the top line uncentred as, it might go behind the forum navigation, but if the above centred versions work, then we should go with them instead.
