  1. Glad to see they realized they couldn't improve on perfection when it comes to the intro.

No real complaints about the main three, but a lot of the minor charaters they are showing in the intro are boardering on bad cosplay imo.  Maybe it's just a consequence of the sylistic filtering applied in the intro (hopefully!)

  2. So "Part 1" is going to solely cover the events in Midgar, which is MAYBE the first 10% of the original game (and that's probably generous).  It seems that they intend to pad out that portion to offer a full experience, but man, if this is the approach, it's going to take a decade or more to finish the full Remake.  We'll probably need a re:remake of the Midgar section before the whole thing is done!!

  3. Get your expectations in check everyone...

It's been a LOONG time since I wanted to walk out of a movie.  I don't know if its hitting me extra hard because I was looking forward to it so much, but I straight up hated it.  Save your money kids.

The weapons'll take some getting used to, but before the colors, those were what defined the turtles. Gonna be hard to replace the iconic look of the nunchuks and sai. Looking it at... Raph and Mikey are the only ones that truly got changed. I wonder why that is?

because they are the two most iconic weapons from the franchise

Well, they've dropped Mickey's Nunchuks before.  In the 80's series, they dropped them at some point, maybe mid-way through the series, and he started using a grappling hook that looked like a turtle shell.  Used to bother the hell out of me as a kid.  At some point I looked into it and apparently it was because they couldn't show him using the 'chuks in the UK and had to edit out any scenes that had them.  Eventually they switched his weapon so they wouldn't have to bother anymore.

Actually, when I saw the designs for Rise,  one of my first thoughts was that his new weapon was actually an homage to that grappling hook from the 80's show.
