  1. .... and keep making that face with the pursed lips that she always makes.... And this episode needed way more Noah
  2. I really did not know there were still smokey the bear commercials out... He's CGI now!
  3. Yeah, director's cuts can be moneymakers when there actually is a director's cut. But Leterrier didn't have an alternate cut, he liked the version that went to theaters, he had no desire to make a longer version according to that interview I saw. I may be wrong, but I think the version that was so much longer and that Norton had problems with was never meant to be the final cut, it was just a screening during the editing process. People shell out the money for director's cuts for movies like Brazil when the director wanted a different version of the movie released, and the studio fucked with it. Ah, found it! Around 3:50 he starts talking about it...
  4. I'm pretty sure in an interview, Leterrier said that there was gonna be no extended cut of the movie, that he was proud of the version that went to theaters and wouldn't have released it if he thought it needed to be improved. So I'm pretty sure it's just the theatrical release on the DVD
  5. *shrugs* Worked for me... I never saw any commercials, since I don't watch too much tv, and I watched the episode on Hulu earlier today and was surprised. But that is a pretty dumb idea...
  6. Mace Windu: What does Yoda look like?!?! Sith Lord: He-he's green! Mace Windu: Go on!!! Sith Lord: He-h-he's bald! Mace Windu: Does he look like a bitch?! Sith Lord: w-w-what? Mace Windu: Does he look like bitch?!
  7. I think this was where they got the idea for them? I thought I read that somewhere. And Audrey Tautou is just beautiful, I think.
  8. Yeah... I remember disliking it then, too. It seems worse this year, though!
  9. I want a gif of her face as she's closing the door at 1:34... I would use the shit out of that in AIM conversations :-D
  10. State Fair of Texas, mates! And we're gonna get some corny dogs, and some funnel cake, and some turkey legs, and some fresh corn, and some fried oreos, and some fried ice cream, and some fried bacon, and some fried truffles! BYAAAAAARGH!! (I refuse to let that joke get old) I'm really excited :-D
  11. Worse when they go into detail about how bad it really is and won't rest until you've tasted or smelled it or whatever... It's annoying, but it's funny
  12. Brazil Man. Nobody could ever tell me what this movie was about, and I get it now. Bizarre and brilliant.
  13. I'm sure there's a thread for this somewhere ("this" being things that annoy you) but I am way too lazy and in too bad a mood to look it up right now... You know what's really annoying? When people preface things with "Is it bad..." ex. "Is it bad that I ate at Taco Bell twice today?" "Is it bad that I know all the words to this song?" "Is it bad that I know all the movies he's ever done?" In the first instance, if it's bad to eat Taco Bell twice in one day, you already know it, and why it's bad, you're just looking for me to tell you it's not bad so you'll feel better about it. It's the last two that really bug me... why would it be bad to have interests? If you like a song, a director, a piece of art or anything like that and are knowledgeable about it that's something to be proud of. Not overly proud, but don't pretend to wear it as a badge of shame when you're really just boasting. ...that feels much better...
  14. Sneezing while driving can be incredibly dangerous...
  15. I forget how much I love this movie every time I watch it... I should get hose like this...
  16. Old Beatles... I haven't listened to any of this in ages! My pick for worst of their albums has got to go to Beatles for Sale though... even being a fan of the early stuff (Please Please Me, With The Beatles, Hard Day's Night, Beatles for sale and sometimes Help! depending on how you're trying to divide things) isn't enough to really make more than four of those songs worth listening to. But man... and can't fail to make me happy, ever
  17. Yeah, I'm always at work when anything good is on, I pretty much hulu everything and buy the dvd
  18. I am actually being forced to reference Taking Back Sunday in my English paper. We listened to it in class. And I'm supposed to write an essay referencing the themes in it, among other songs. I hate my classes....
  19. I never watched 4400... should I? Cody said when we started watching Heroes that a lot of it came from there...
  20. A Change is Gonna Come- Ben Sollee A great Sam Cooke song to cover, and I really, really like this version...
