  1. can't find a better version... http://youtu.be/a1u_SA4PGzU and be happy I don't include lyrics! This what you are talking about??
  2. What is funny is they have actually propagated a whole sub-genre and influenced grindcore in a way that will probably never change. They were never my favorite band, but they always had a special place in my heart. http://youtu.be/iaxJHIrqzHk http://youtu.be/DSU2WLwlOII http://youtu.be/KTxpP_aKfqg
  3. Who would've ever thought you could feel worse for her Podiatrist than her OBGYN...although if her toe has gnats..../shudder /vomit
  4. I think it shall remain one of histories great unsolved riddles...like how the pyramids were built, and where did Atlantis go.
  5. Or maybe a mix up of dweebs and weenies?
  6. Disabled Gamer shows off Gaming Style for Charity
  7. Does it make it any less true though?? lol
  8. Well if you can get into it and play it to win you can probably get through SS2 in 15 hours or so. I haven't technically beat it (got to the last boss tho) and I figure I was 15-20 hours in. Meanwhile The Witcher 2 can set you back about double that depending on how many side quests you do. The Witcher is good storywise and all, but if you haven't been spoiled any on SS2 it's a great story and really immersive. You could make an arguement that Valve got the idea for GLaDos from Shodan (the ship AI in SS2).
  9. Start with an .ISO of System Shock 2 (or if you have the CD...) copy the folder "SHOCK" to any dir you want. Go to this link and grab the tool file http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=392.0 Run it. After it does its thing I would just run the game and see if it works for you. If it does then go to this link http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=22.0 and get the file. If you just want to use this mod and no other unpack this file into the "DataPermanentMods" folder and let it rewrite everything and then you will be able to play the game with some updated textures.
  10. Talking about System Shock 2 made me want to play it again. After a little looking around I came across a site dedicated to System Shock and SS2 with a couple of nice little texture upgrade packs. They also have an install tool so you don't have to worry about getting a nocd crack or anything. Just grab an iso, copy over a folder, install the install tool and you are ready to go. Then just put the texture pack in the mods folder and it couldn't be easier. Even running it on Vista or Win 7 at 720p it looks pretty good. More than playable, and it is a true classic. If you like shooters with psionic powers, rpg-lite elements and a great story you should definately try it out. Plus it is easy to use console commands to give yourself extra points to spend if you so choose. p.s. This is one of those games to play in the dark with the sound turned up.
  11. I didn't like Vagrant Story, the controls turned me off and I haven't really played more than 10 min of it. I do need to give it a real shot someday though.
  12. Well I am stuck in the future with all the domes that collapsed and you have to go to a buncha different ones and do some shit, but I can't figure out how to open this one damned door...I don't want to look it up and be the only person in the world who can't beat CT without a walkthrough.../wrist
  13. +1 for playing Mount and Blade! I love that game, though it can be VERY difficult/frustrating at times.
  14. Now that a decade has passed since this thread ended anyone want to put up some new choices for what they feel is the "Greatest RPG of All Time?" Greatest RPG of all time (not MY favorite, but what I consider represents RPG's as far as what an RPG should have and play like) would either be Baldur's Gate 2 or Planescape: Torment. The only reason I would say Planescape is it just has a much more engaging and entertaining story. It doesn't have quite as much content as BG2, but it is not a short or small game by any standards. I would also give a nod to Elder Scrolls: Morrowind for everything it has brought to the table. Even though I would consider it more of an action-rpg. Sorry to go off-topic on what you guys are talking about, but I still haven't beat CT or CC.
  15. Miike isn't the Miike from Ichi/Visitor Q days anymore. He is still a damn good director, but not so weird/gross.
  16. So instead of me looking shit up, someone explain how this will be better than the much over-rated Pt. 1!
  17. edit: picture didn't turn out how I thought it would, will try again later
  18. Let me just say neither the picture nor the Honey Boo boo show truly disgust me. I knew that some people would be disgusted by a picture of a naked BBW chick and I put it up there for the reaction. As soon as I saw the [NSFW] tag I knew I had crossed some line or broken some rule and I took it down immediately. Mal and Axel's FIRST responses were great and I laughed, and figured you all would get the sarcasm behind my next response to it, but evidently not. Next time I will be sure to at least spoiler tag it. And I will stop being sarcastic until that damn Sarcasm font is invented.
  19. I was so completely dissapointed with ff8, I almost gave up on the series. Thankfully 9 restored some my faith until X2-2...
  20. Nothing like bringing back the 100+ hit combos.....hells yeah!
