  1. Never looked at it that way. I'd see that, too! I also liked how many of the characters in that movie were named after giants in the zombie genre. Romero, Savini and others. Why can't Hollywood remake that!? Wait, let me not jinx it. Was Quarantine not the crappiest crap of all crap? Now [REC]... that was perfection! Also, a great scene. You know, I'm putting all this positive stuff out on Dead Next Door, but I didn't even like it. It's NOT a great movie... I just think it has great potential.
  2. Trust me, I've seen some bad zombie movies and I've seen some BAAAAAD zombie movies. I give 'em ALL a try (I just have a very small tolerance level for bad for badness sake in this genre). Ironically, I thought Bruce Campbell would be great if cast in a Dead Next Door remake! Some of the great ideas of that flick: - Feeding zombies meat through a fence. - Zombie mouth guards. - 'Zombie Squads' that go out and 'bust' roaming zombies! And I know I'm missing stuff! Have some to add?
  3. Please don't let this thread die! Pun NOT intended!
  4. Right so... I've never seen Night of the Creeps (I hope I'm not losing my zombie cred). Review away, though... this is your thread too. Or I can put it up on my list and talk about it when I see it? Or here's a crazy one? The Dead Next Door! Which I think needs a remake more than any other movie EVER! It has AWESOME potential! It could be the Ghostbusters for zombies!!!!
  5. No, cause the finale of Episode 3 was crap... Again, what Mr. H. said.
  6. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker references ALWAYS welcome (man, waiting for that one to come to Xbox Live)! It's just that the genre has got alot of crap so I take what I can get. Like I said, I'm all over a DVD with Thriller packaging and all! Hint, hint anyone with these skills... (JAX!)
  7. That would be hilarious actually! Hey Baytor, do you consider Thriller a zombie movie or wha? Cause I do. If only they released a DVD, I'd be all over that.
  8. Fulci truly is the master at the gore stuff ain't he? Man, he has dozens of scenes like that. Oh and above mentioned eye gouge:
  9. Not a fan of her music so I wouldn't know.
  10. You know, The Beyond is one of those I've looked for, but haven't found. His 'sequel' to Zombie, City of the Living Dead was also crap. People say that The Beyond is his masterpiece (not saying much).
  11. Greatest. Scene. Ever. Recorded. On. Film. EVER! Honestly, the movie sucks (except for above). Still, it's considered a genre classic. Up there with the Romero greats. It also has a eye gouging scene that's also very good, but that's it. Baytor?
  12. Welcome folks to BAYTOR AND PANCH AT THE (ZOMBIE) MOVIES! A review thread just because. Enjoy!
  13. Yeah, one of those ass shots made the flick (even more) for me.
  14. I found the beginning to be very good. Up until the dance even. Then it starts to go downhill until the tractor scene. Overall good enough to make my collection. Although, just the name 'Boy Eats Girl' was enough for me.
  15. It's funny you mention Dance cause I was gonna propose a movie night (at Nick's house) and show this movie. That and Boy Eats Girl. Seen that one?
  16. My 2 favorite things... Spidey and zombies!
  17. When's Max Brooks writing a new book?!
  18. Oh and I forgot... the 'chronological cut' of the film! Great addition! But it CAN ONLY be watched theatrical version first. The whole movie (and everything it does to your mind) will be ruined. Otherwise your mind will explode! Shit, if this doesn't make it on the regular DVD then I'm renting the 'Blockbuster Exclusive' and never giving it back! WATCH IT NOW, NICK!
  19. Do yourself a favor and make the space on your drive by deleting Dead Alive (I have plenty of zombie flicks you can/should watch first). Also, it'll move Timecrimes up on the list (but only up one, cause no matter what anybody says Nick'll watch what he wants WHEN he wants). Here's my review: AWESOME! Thank you, Jon. Greatest movie about time travel without a DeLorean (probably still better). For real though, GREAT FUCKING FILM! Nick, seriously, you need to get over your 'Nickness' and watch this a.s.a.p. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
  20. Doesn't happen often, but somebody went to bat for ya, DoJ. Bask in it, dude. Prick.
