Anyone else hear about how Absolute Batman is going into its *5th printing*? I can't remember the last time I heard about a comic this popular.

Considering the resurrections part - it could be worth it just for that. Getting to experience death while knowing that everything's gonna be alright in the end.

Sadly being in an apartment, I can't smoke meats but I have for the last 8 years or so helped judge a BBQ cookoff that helped people qualify to participate at the Houston livestock show and rodeo. (If you're not from here, that's like...a huge deal). I have been playing with liquid smoke in some of my dishes recently though. For flower, my new stepdad (its still so funny to say that) has been growing since its been really helping him with his PTSD from serving military time, so I get loaded up pretty often if I need it. Austin is pretty lax on weed here. Its not legal but we have dispensaries everywhere for all the delta variants and you'd have to have a LOT on you to actually get charged with anything. I've moved mostly away from old school flower smoking - since edibles are pretty accessible and great.

Yeah I get it. I often say that I am a fan of things but I can't deal with fandoms. (The big two being rick and morty and star wars - but marvel has been getting there lately). And a lot of those people who say shitty things online about these things in pop culture tend to be the kind of people who say a lot of shitty things to other people. That's not to say that there is no room for criticism, far be it, but that's not what these people do. They wear their hate under the guise of being a "fan". How's that saying go? When someone shows you who they are, believe them. That's one big reason we rebranded the podcast with the departure of our former producer. A lot of what we had established was very of the 2010 where everyone needed to be some kind of [word for angry] [word for nerd/geek] show and for a long time we were those people. Over time however, doing that became...exhausting. It was more important to me that we have serious "adult" discourse in the pop culture we loved. I'm not entirely sure where I was going here with this, other that I agree.

Agatha has been rock solid. It's nice to have a marvel show people are actually happy to watch for once. Lord the discourse around some marvel shit has gotten so toxic. I even had to unfollow some content creators I liked because they just want to shit on stuff like The Acolyte.

Fuck the haters, the Marvels was fantastic.

Yeah i did have a lot of faith in the rumors it was being remade. I am SO excited. Last night i had one of my VA friends over for dinner and jokingly I was like "How dare you be friends with (Ann's VA) AND NOT FIND OUT ABOUT THIS TACTICS GAME AND TELL ME IMMEDATELY!"
