  1. I'm torn on the topic. His kneeling doesn't bother me. But neither does people upset about his kneeling. I really think people need to communicate more rather than immediately hating each other before understanding the reason behind acts of defiance or unrest. What each side sees is different than what is actually happening. Then the media Stokes the fire and the ignorant minority (and most visible) on each side go crazy. One side sees a man openly being unpatriotic and slapping every veteran, p.o.w., or someone who gave their life for The US in the face. The other side sees a bunch of backwoods racist who are opposed to progress. Is this really what's going on? It's a cycle of conformation bias. If you sorround yourself with news outlets that tell you what you want to hear or people who are consistently agreeing with the same opinions then truth will never be discussed. I can tell you as an American that I know people on both sides. The media does not speak for the majority. I know conservatives that think what he did was patriotic. I know Liberals that understand why someone would be upset to see someone kneel. There's also people who just want to watch football and not politics. It's a time for them to forget about their worries and stresses of the world. We can't have a constructive discussion as long as the media is driven by ratings and money rather than truth and integrity. The real enemies are the Fox News' and MSNBCs of the world. Stoking outrage instead of understanding while lining their wallets and capitalizing on ignorance. Where's Jerusalem when you need him? Also I don't watch football because my team is the Panthers. So like, what's the point. We will experience our enevitable heat death before they win a super bowl.
